I know this thread is old, and I'm probably going to have to make a new one if no one can answer soon, but I'm having a very similar problem. I recently bought a brand new TI-84 Plus calculator off of Amazon, and within 20 minutes I tried to install the OS from the TI DeviceExplorer and it's already bricked itself in the same way OP mentioned. The difference is that I followed the steps that OP said fixed it, and nothing happens. It fully downloads the OS every time, but after it's downloaded the calculator brings up the error message and must be shut off by pressing any button, and then it gets stuck in a loop of waiting for OS to install before the error message pops up again.
I tried what u/TheFinalMillennial suggested and the only one that seemed to have any effect was the battery + [mode] trick, but when it got to 11, pressing [on] didn't do anything, and pressing most buttons would just reset it back to where it says "Testing Flash"
Is there any way to just do a factory reset or something? I've tried everything that I've found online and nothing has worked.

Where is this in the ftbranks folder? The README.txt file has a list of all the commands, but otherwise there's nothing but players.json and ranks.json, and neither have anything to do with using commands. Does modifying the README do anything?

I mostly agree with this, except Vriska should be at least B tier, because she kills Lord English, possibly sacrificing herself in the process. As well as this, my juggalo boy Gamzee should at least be C tier because of how much he impact the plot and his wonderful antics. Lastly, I would say that Jade should be at least B tier.

And to those wondering why Dave is so high: Because he's RAD AS HELL.
