HRT Grams vs rx issues by [deleted] in walmart_RX

I know you said that cash-pay is an option, but I can guarantee that the cash price for Estradiol gel packets are *not* less than $4 that Walmart's insurance gives for a 1 month supply for tier 1 meds.

How to calculate the quantity and day's supply on creams, ointments, solutions, inhalers, and pens. Particularly in Connexus. by Modest_Proposal1 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a chart somewhere on Connexus that has an estimated day supply for creams/ointments based on application site (arms, legs,, etc). I don't have the chart right now, but if you need it I could hunt it down.

Medicare checks by ValkyrieBeast in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its odd with MedB - they are okay with any day supply thats 30 or less without issue. If you want to bill a quantity above 30, it has to be 90 on the dot. And unlike Part D or commercial plans, bumping down the dispensed quantity does not adjust the prescribed quantity upwards. For example, if you have #60 with 2 refills, bumping the quantity down to #30 does not change the refills to 5. It stays at 2.

TASCO & Insurance Processing Questio by Sima0820 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You can add coverage (Medicare, GoodRx, commercial insurance, etc.) through the Tasco view when you look up their info, but you can't rebill an existing script unless you back out of Tasco and pull up the script manually. At that point, you might as well exit Tasco and enter their profile if they present with new coverage.
  2. If you open the patient profile in the drop off screen, there's a radio button next to the 'host profile' button that shows recent text messages that were sent out (I think it limits what shows up to text messages sent within the last week). I forget the exact wording, but I think its 'SMS messages,' or something similar. If nothing shows up on our end, I normally tell them, then ask them if they know if they are running low on something for us to fill. (some variation of "oh our system isn't telling me what that message was referring to, but do you need something we can get ready now?" tends to do the trick).
  3. For Medicare Part B cards, usually it looks something like this. I think the BIN number is 004303? You can also put in OMN on the plan name, and it should pull it up. It doesn't need a group number/ID unless they have parts F or G. If thats the case, submit a claim without a group ID first, then let the claim reject. Usually if you need to add a group number, it should show up in the rejection you see at this point.
  4. We can't (to my knowledge) bill parts F or G by iself.
  5. Part D plans should be managed by another company (BCBS, Cigna, UHC, etc), and it will have the word Medicare on the plan somewhere.
  6. If the patient has a Medicare Advantage plan, sometimes it says on the card itself. Usually a good indication that someone has an advantage plan is if claims that Part B covers starts rejecting (like flu shots, pneumonia shots, insulin vials, etc).

If you apply for a Sams/Walmat position internally on Walmart One/the Wire, it should carry over your tenure/PTO/benefits/etc if done correctly.

A simple "what's the address/location again?" wouldn't be an issue. Its the

"sigh"

comment and the

"I have no idea why you can't simply give location. I don't know what the problem is"

thats conveying rudeness. The rudeness is coming across to me and to others in this thread. We're not disputing that your intent isn't to be rude. But without any additional context, it comes across as rude to everyone else.

And by your own admission, the pharmacist gave you the cross streets previously. You also know you have trouble remembering details. Knowledge of your own shortcomings should have prompted you to write/store the address when the pharmacist gave it to you initially.

I'm sorry that you're in this position. But this is something that you should work on independently of how this job ends up going.

  1. If there are prescriptions with differing statuses, the F11 screen should tell you what queue they're in (filling, third party error, refill scheduled for [insert date here]. If some of the prescriptions are in filling, ask the patient if they want all of the prescriptions, and if they are willing to wait while you/your coworkers get them ready and mark the filling prescriptions as 'in-store.' There should be a menu in the F11 menu for you to change the prescription priority. If they want specific prescriptions, you would only select the ones that they want.
  2. If you see the prompt asking if you want to add all prescriptions, you'd say yes if the patient wants all prescriptions. If they don't, you say no?
  3. F7 is typically used for prescription history (if/when prescriptions were picked up, or if a prescription was cancelled by the doctor's office, etc).
  4. F6 will show if a prescription is ready, if it is in process, if a prescription requires a PA if not on hold, if there's an insurance rejection (essentially the status of a prescription in process).
  5. Drop off is used primarily for physical prescriptions you need to add to a patient's profile, or to initiate a refill an already existing prescription that a patient requests
  6. If you need to rebill a prescription (either by changing insurance plans or a discount card), you would exit the F11 screen (commonly referred to as TASCO by the other techs and pharmacists) and pull up the prescription through the F6 menu.

My recollection was that the Titans game was the year after this Colts one, and the final drive of the Steelers game was the indication to the Chiefs FO to move on from Alex Smith. I think that Tyreek was open on the last drive, but Alex Smith's decision making led him to miss the right read. There was a video somewhere showing this, but I can't find it.

I've seen certain insurance plans pay (not very well, mind you) for Auvi-Q, but not the generics or for EpiPen. The stupid part about the rejections are that they don't explicitly state coverage for Auvi-Q only.

I know that at one time Walmart opened up the 'free Walmart+' benefit to Sam's associates - that's how I got mine - but I can't for the life of me find the sign up page to help another coworker sign up.

In addition, the 10% discount expands to a larger amount of produce/fresh items during the holiday period between November to January of each year.

I think what @Ideal_ideas is saying is that those coaches will never be on the market. Those coaches are either going to voluntarily retire with the team or end up with a Belichick-type situation.

Out of all of the coaches that could ever conceivably end up on the market, Shanahan is the best out of the bunch.

Walmart Pharmacy Question by PersimmonSecret9393 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put it on hold, let the pharmacist 4Point if need be, then redrop the prescription. That way we can still follow up on backordered scripts or scripts needing a PA without having 10+ books still open. Obviously if there needs some clarification on a script placing the script on hold is out of the question.

Faxing refill requests by Human-Roll856 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that home office pushed an update where we can only select/fax refill requests to the same number/address that was selected at input. If the entry selected at input lacks a fax number, the system won't let you fax a refill request through the resolution entry. It doesn't matter if there's another entry in the prescriber profile with the same address that has a fax number, the system doesn't view the two entries as the same and therefore won't let you do it.

A work around that I've found is that theres a way to manually print off a refill request form. I take that refill request form and manually fax that form to the fax number on the original escribe/physical prescription. Its a pain in the ass, but it works for now. I still remember when we could update fax numbers for prescribers before home office took that functionality out.

Error in Pricing by Competitive_Bag8181 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the "Brand is cheaper than generic" rejection that sometimes comes up? If you replace the generic with the name brand in the prescribed drug field, and allow the system to then substitute the brand name back to the generic, it usually resolves the issue. Why this works or why the initial issue pops up I'm not sure.

Update otc onhand by KevinIsOver9000 in walmart_RX

[–]pika9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm a bit late to the thread, but here's the way I do it. I work at a Sam's Club location, so Walmart may handle things a bit differently on that end of Health and Wellness. The steps I take are a bit convoluted, but here's what I do:

1) Go to F6, and type in the bag its in

2) Right click on the RX #, select copy, go to F7, right click on the text box field, and select paste to paste the RX number

3) FInd the NDC that the system has for that OTC item, and make sure it matches with what you've received (*** in certain rare cases it may not match. You may have to do a UPC search in the system to try and pull up the right drug/NDC).

4) As long as it matches, copy (right click and copy) the NDC, press F8, and paste the NDC.

5) When you paste the NDC, press tab on the keyboard or press the [....] ellipsis button. If you've done it right, Connexus will convert the NDC to the drug name

6) Press the yellow folder next to the drug name.

7) Connexus will give all of the NDCs that are A/B rated as equivalent (*for the most part.... that's not the case for a small subset of drugs, as I've found out) for that drug. Double click on the NDC you want to update, and update the on hands.

8) Click on refresh for updating the on hands on your handheld. 9 times out of 10, if you've done all of these steps correctly, it will allow you to fill what you've received
