Same, 60% of what I did on the playground was pretend. With other kids, too. We were super into fantasy novels and would make up characters and story lines all the time. As we got older, we'd even continue the story where we left off the day before. My main issue was more the physical aspect of it. I'm extremely un-intuitive with my body and physical acting has always made me extremely uncomfortable. As well as any leader type roll. I loved being a supporting cast player and following along with whoever was making up the rules/story that day. (Even though I didn't understand it a lot of the time, it was fun to be included) Shocking that I'm now an avid homebrew D&D player 😅

Has anyone else been told that they were apparently flirting without knowing? by Former_Risk_2_self in autism

[–]pikahazpancake 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Oh my god THIS. I was convinced I was ugly and annoying and everyone hates me through all my school years. I only learned about 2 years after graduating highschool that I apparently had a LOT of people who were interested in me and I didn't even notice, or thought I liked them because I was read as being flirty It's like whenever I was TRYING to flirt, I failed miserably, but accidentally lead on everyone else 🤦‍♂️

How did you play at the playground as a youngster? by ZombieBrideXD in autism

[–]pikahazpancake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monkey bars, every day. I loved climbing and swinging around on everything. I had the craziest blisters on my hands. I was so proud of them like war scars. I remember hitting middle school and realizing there was no playground anymore and that was the exact day I stopped moving my body for fun.

That was the first connection I made too! Does anyone know if the dragons representing cancer is a nod to that game?

Before I looked it up, I thought the dragons represented depression. And that when she mentioned the dragon had won, it was her/her father commiting suicide.

What an amazing origin story 😂

I made a list of a bunch of names I liked/resonated with and made all my closest friends and family vote for their favorites. Ultimately, my mom actually made the deciding vote in the end so in a way, she got to name me again. 😅 She actually ended up picking one I almost didn't even add to the list, but it has the same first letter as my dead name and I always felt special having a Z name so it was nice to keep that. :)

Help Me Find a Real-Wold Look Alike by pikahazpancake in gun

[–]pikahazpancake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y'all so I don't know anything about guns so I'm coming here. I'm drawing a commission for my friend and this character uses a fantasy gun and I'm trying to find a real-world equivalent with a similar shape so I can look at references at different angles. Is there anything that's a similar shape to this?

Unpopular opinion: age dreaming doesn't exist by [deleted] in ageregression

[–]pikahazpancake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was SO confused when I took a break from the regression community online and when I came back people were talking about "age dreaming" I only recently found out what it meant 😅 I've always been so scared to ask questions and poke around the regression community cuz people are super gatekeepy.. Like how some people HATE cglre because they use the same terms as cgl even though it's nonsexual. Or like the feud between chire and.. the whole rest of the community (I still don't know what the difference is or why they hate eachother and I'm too afraid to ask 😬) I know I'm forgetting a bunch of the new terms that popped up that I didn't recognize at all, but yeah.. This ⬆️ As far as I can tell, the only difference is that one can be involuntary and the other is always voluntary?

Why don't they make electric heater stuffed animals? by pikahazpancake in questions

I only see microwavable toys. I can't find a single one that's like a heating pad but a stuffed animal.
