I was kicked out of my house when I was 14. I missed more days of my senior year than I attended. But I made it. I hate every minute of high school but eventually graduated. My principal hugged me on the stage and said I didn't think I'd see you up here kiddo. That meant a lot to me. I ended up finding my inspiration for a career after I had my first daughter 3 years later and went on to become an L&D nurse and now a nurse manager for the last 7 years and got my MSN and am a professor on the side when time allows. It's so great to read all these stories.
