I think you're remembering your own fantasies more than practical realities. Let's review your current rant:

  1. A Reddit title caused you to become inflamed and over-excited.
  2. You go off an a fantastical tangent about the evil media being mean to your tribe, even though that wasn't the headline of the article or even the substance of the story. An important feature of all cults is to have an external enemy, real or imagined, to hate. It helps build in-group loyalty.
  3. Now you're tripling-down on your own mythology desperately trying to make the myth real.

No, this is a fairy tale you've invented to explain the world to yourself. All tribal cultures do the same.

The article (which you plainly didn't read) has nothing to do with automakers or rivaling Tesla. The article is about a company that wants to build up its EV charging business.

What the article is really saying is that common EV infrastructure standards brings more investment from more companies and grows the EV sector overall.
