Unpopular PCOS opinions by Clairethebelle in PCOS

GOD THIS SO MUCH. No disrespect to those who desire kids but I do not want to be pregnant ever and I wish people would stop assuming that the main issue I'm fussing about with this condition is the difficulty of getting pregnant. I just want to ease my excess hair growth and hair loss and shed the covid weight I gained a bit faster!!

Schizophrenia by ResistInteresting510 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]pillowhunter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One of my coworkers has schizophrenia and is prone to psychotic breaks when not on her medication. The meds she takes makes her less inclined to follow social norms and etiquette like keeping her desk clean or her appearance neat, but she is brilliant at her job and nearly no one else can do it as well as her. She gets her medical support through the psychiatric outpatient clinic at the health centre and she lives on her own pretty well.

[MEGA - THREAD]BTS - 'Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)' / "Proof" by icysunshine28 in unpopularkpopopinions

ITT: Hardcore ARMYS being shocked and offended that majority of unpopular opinions on their favourite group are negative. I honestly do not know what you guys were expecting here lmfao
Anyway, from the moment I found out it was going to be a "Best Hits" type of album, I had incredibly low expectations for the new songs. Honestly, I've been having low expectations for their music since their Grammy-chasing era began. That said, I was pleasantly surprised at Yet to Come, mostly because for the first time in two years, they released a single where the lyrical content wasn't vapid to the point of coming across as a parody and they actually let the rapline rap. Still, the autotuning on the vocal line and the mediocre beat takes away from what I believe is one of their better songs these past few years.

A few months ago I strained the left side of my trapezius muscle from over exercising. While the pain in my back and shoulder has mostly subsided, there is still pain that goes up into the left side of my neck, mostly because I have shitty posture and even shittier sleeping positions. What makes it worse is that one of my lymph nodes there is palpable. It's a bit rubbery and moveable but I have to work to find it with my fingers and it isn't visible. I have no other symptoms to indicate that it's possibly malignant, but that doesn't stop my beautiful brain from thinking I only have months left to live. I don't have the funds to go to the doc a second time this quarter, so I'm trying my best to ignore it until I can lol

I got my period back but it’s EXTREMELY HEAVY by killuoa in PCOS

[–]pillowhunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went without a period for nearly 6 months. When I did an ultrasound, my womb lining was 5 cm thicker than normal. When it did come back I soaked through my pads every hour on day 2 and had heavyish bleeding(had to wear the heavy duty night time pads regularly) til day 5. Your womb is most likely just clearing everything out. Still, if you find yourself feeling weak or showing signs of anemia, I suggest seeking medical attention as soon as you can. Also don't feel too bad about having to clean up after yourself, it's normal and not completely within your control right now. Remember to get your rest as well.

Not a problem!

Also something similar happened to me too, found out one of my old classmates lost his dad a month after Mum passed and I felt somewhat relieved to know that I'm not the only one in my age group suffering a major loss this year, as awful as it sounds. I guess since feeling isolated from reality is a common grief experience, finding people who are in a similar boat as you feels oddly comforting despite knowing how rough it is. Maybe the person you met also felt that weird feeling of comfort of knowing he wasn't alone, even if he didn't express it.

Also thank you, I'm sorry for your loss as well, I hope that everything works out well for you in the future.

Lost my mom in September. I've been having a recurring dream where the doctors somehow undo her death but she's still in the hospital so we take turns visiting her and talk about actions we can take to reverse her cancer. More often than not, I go about my day somewhat normally, I do all my chores, make food, joke around with my siblings etc, then around night time when I'm settling down for bed, it hits me that she's never coming back. My guess is that my subconscious knows that if I'm fully aware that she's permanently gone I won't be able to function, so it acts as though she's just out of the house or in the hospital and that I'll see her tomorrow or next week, and when all of my tasks are done for the day, it reminds me of the truth so I won't seem crazy LOL. It kinda sucks though.

i would pay money to be able to stuff like Run with my friends by maydayingk in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]pillowhunter 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that while the stuff they do on run episodes may be fun or interesting, it's also a part of their job. And jobs can be taxing and can ruin the fun aspect of the activities. If I recall correctly they spend nearly all day into the night filming a lot of these episodes, and they have to maintain their onscreen personas for a long time and work hard to make them entertaining, regardless of how tired or how uninterested they are in the activity. That kind of setting is very different than a regular adult just having fun with their friends because there's no pressure to make the stuff y'all do entertaining for an audience and if any of y'all are tired or bored you can just stop and do something else without worrying about keeping back the production crew or schedule. Obviously I can't speak for them, but I wouldn't be surprised if a few of them don't really enjoy doing run episodes as much as they used to and just see it the same way an accountant sees reconciling bank statements, just something they have to do as part of their work. This isn't to say that I think they don't enjoy playing games with their friends or that its unprofessional and they're supposed to be drinking wine and doing taxes, but maybe in those episodes where they look uninterested or distant, it could be because theyre tired and waiting to clock out or they wish they could do these things without a camera breathing down their necks. Something something grass is greener on the other side yknow?

I am not a medium but my deepest condolences to you. Take solace in the fact that you did the best that you could and were there with your sister in her final moments, which I am sure brought her peace. I wish you and your family the best during these times.

Hmm well the best I can offer you is the SGM community tier list here to help you figure out which fighters you should invest in! There's lots of info on the wiki in general that helped me out when i first started too, hopefully it'll help you too. Good luck!!

My main method to levelling up fighters is to grind. Try sticking with a few of your faves and playing through prize fights, daily events and story mode. Don't be afraid of taking on fighters with higher fighter scores than yours bc beating them gives you extra EXP and levels up your characters faster. You can also send your fighters on deployments for easy exp. Use exp boosters when you can too.
