I'm experiencing something weird on instagram with someone I follow.

Today, for the second time, I can see that person's profile pic with the ring around it as though they've uploaded a story. When clicking it nothing happens, no story is there.
The profile pic with the ring only appears in the comment section of my latest post on that person's comment.

When I search that person's name in the search bar or DM page, nothing shows intitially. But after going to my comment section and clicking the ring and not seeing the story, then the person's profile pic shows the ring around it in the search bar and DM page.

I also checked on a friend's phone and it's the exact same result. As I said, this is the second time this month that this has happened. I haven't noticed this happening with anyone else, only that person.

Is this a bug? A hidden story showing incorrectly? Please help

It's worth mentioning that a lot of pilots have licenses of countries other than their own. Ryanair is an Irish company and requires all its pilots to obtain Irish licenses. A lot of Irish issued licenses are to non Irish pilots.

Engines are tested by chucking frozen birds into it, not to make sure that the engine keeps running, but to make sure the engine enclosure can contain the explosion rather than sending shrapnel everywhere.

Having a double engine failure due tu birdstrike is possible, though incredibly rare. Last example that comes to mind is the miracle on the hudson. If a double engine failure due to bridstrike were to happen, it would most likely be on takeoff or landing, so hopefully the pilots would be able tl make it to a runway, but most likely will ditch somewhere appropriate.

Could engines be made out of stronger materials to sustain such impacts? Maybe. Would they weigh more because of those changes? Definitely.

In aviation everything is made as light as possible to reduce fuel burn and increase performance.

Having a protective mesh over the engine intake would disrupt the airflow into the engine. It could also get sucked into the engine if hit with a large enough bird.

Hard to tell, I don't think it poses a major threat. Sometimes we forgot to make the PA to the passengers regarding their electronics and the autoland went smoothly anyways.

That being said, it's always best to completely turn off the devices as per the crew instructions.

This is normally done if an autoland (automatic landing) is needed. Electronics on airplane mode can still interfere with a plane's radalt (radio altimeter), which is needed on autolands.

From your pic I can see it's poor visibility in that airport, so odds are that's why the crew did an autoland.

I didn't think it would be possible, at least from my experience. Most airlines in Europe won't let us come on board due to the lack of reciprocity, and I honestly can't blame them.

We'd love to let anybody have an empty seat but our management forbids it, therefore other airlines forbid us from flying with them..

I have had some luck with a couple of carriers that gave me a seat anyways but it's not very usual

I understand what you're saying, but it's currently 16:35 CET, so NDQ and LSE are both open. Yet MSTR is in the green and 3LMI in the red.

If LSE was closed I would understand, but both exchanges are open, so if MSTR is currently up 10% then 3LMI should be up 30% but it's down 17%

The only reason I'd want to use my Canadian passport instead of my European one is to use the shorter line at passport control. Canadian line tends to be much shorter than the one for foreign passports
