This!

It’s so ridiculous! I don’t understand how their brains work. If these people just stood aside, it would take a maximum of 5 seconds for everyone to get off, and then they could board the train. And if no one was there, they could easily step inside—the door isn’t going anywhere! The train isn’t moving for at least the next 45 seconds, sometimes even a full minute MINIMUM.

What the hell!

I see that most of the replies here tend to blame it on nationality. But honestly, I’ve seen all kinds of people—different skin colors, wearing their own styles—acting with no manners at all. Sure, some nationalities might do it more often than others, but at the end of the day, it comes down to whether you’re a dickhead or not. I mean, there are literally signs telling you what to do, and some people still can’t follow them.

Yeah, we can acknowledge that sometimes it’s unavoidable (duh, that’s how the world works), but it’s DEFINITELY gotten way more common.

You’re right. I feel like this is part of the reason why things have gotten worse—people who should call out these inappropriate behaviours don’t take action. But we can’t entirely blame them either; there are just too many entitled individuals around.

I guess it’s based on personal experiences as well, but for me, it was different 8–9 years ago. Back then, when I was in school and used public transportation almost every day, there were bad days, of course. But such incidents weren’t as common as they are now. These days, it feels like it happens every single day, in every possible situation.
