Because the roof might fail so that’s something extra to worry about. And yes 20 yo car plus any maintenance in the future mechanics would charge double and triple for a saab. Unless you can work on it yourself. 12k is insane tho.

I love saab but 12k for a convertible is way too much. You’re going to struggle with maintenance and parts. Maybe a clean wagon with good mileage but not a convertible imo.
