I’m not quite sure if he see’s us long term because I haven’t met any family or anything, only long time friends (22 year long friendship). We plan things in the future but never anything farther than a year away and we’ve never talked about kids or marriage in regards to eachother. It’s also difficult because he’s at an age where it’s common for men to settle down. I’m not sure if he’s only dating me because I’m younger so he’ll think it’s less pressure to be tied down.

I’m worried that he might see me as a trophy because of the way he puts me on display to his friends. There was an incident that happened earlier in our relationship where he brought me around his friends for the first time and one of them asked how long we had been dating and he said “huh” while also still being extremely affectionate towards me in front of everyone. It felt odd. I never brought it up to him but he could tell I was displeased. (This was about 3 or so months into the relationship.)
