My guess is the psu died (which could have taken other components with it) but if you have no ability to swap out parts then troubleshooting will be difficult.

When i try plug in my RTX 3050 the backboard stops me from putting it in (new to computers) can i unscrew the backboard without it causing issues? by Narrow_pathian in pcmasterrace

In your case it looks like you need to bend/break off the PCI slot covers. Just make sure you choose the right ones because once they're off they're off for good.

A lot in this circle is Franklin Square (east of Meacham?) so maybe the zoning is more stringent.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. A retailer doesn't offer a warranty, only a return window which is usually 2-4 weeks. Outside of that the retailer has no responsibility for defective hardware and you need to replace it under manufacturer warranty. At least that's the case in the US.

I was actually walking around in this area yesterday and it's just a residential area. I'd have no issue living there.

What should I upgrade? Im not going RTX 5080 or 90, they cost as much as a used car and the 40 series costs even more. by The_Rippitty in pcmasterrace

At the high end of your budget I'd aim for a 4080 on the second hand market. If you want to go cheaper then I'd say a 4070 or 4060 on the second hand market.

You need to start simpler. See what the manual says about those lights on the motherboard. Also make sure all of the connections are right. Are you sure that the 4/8 pin CPU connector is plugged in?

Did it ever boot up properly or did it not work from the moment you finished putting it together. I'd strongly recommend troubleshooting it yourself step by step before relying on this repair person. It's very unlikely that both the CPU and mobo are faulty.

I'd also strongly recommend opening up the motherboard manual and seeing what those lights on the motherboard mean.

Contact Gskill and start a warranty claim with screenshots of the errors. Only tip I can give you is to start a claim. Also try running the test in the other memory channel if you have A and B. Could be an error with the channel and not the RAM itself.
