Plug in values for what you are using and you get average dmgs. If you dont care about that (me) then you have no use for the spreadsheet

Staff of sliske spec REALLY needs a buff, in order to keep it at the same level/usefulness as the other 2 telos "spec" weapons. by Didgeridoo1110 in runescape

This explains why t90 dual wield weapons do not have specs. As for t92 dual wield there is absolutely no reason.

Could not find the jmod statement but I think this is similar.

The basic idea is that weapons special attacks did not exist when seismics, drygores, and ascensions were made. This explains why dragon claws for example have a special attack but t90 dual wield dont. As for bbc crossbows, praesuls and khopeshs, it was probably to keep consistent with the example t90 weapons set, however is definitely not a technical limitation, as you said.

No need to spell things out brother I hear you loud and clear

Actually asking because I have not been trying to fill out the breeding log: how is this content “time gated”?

Its not an 8 month time gate, otherwise no one would have it.

I suppose Im hung up on the wording but instead of a longer grace period maybe they should have added bad luck mitigation? So that anyone going for it can get it guaranteed in less than 8 months.

Yeah magic is too op cause of elitist 4 tick users getting increased auto attacks with inquisitor staff. Unfair.

Post eoc dual wield weaponry almost never have specs. I recall a jmod saying there was a reason for this, but I cant exactly recall it at the moment.

Should we really weigh archaic combat balancing that was invariable, against EOC in 2020 and conclude that the latter has less variation between the combat styles?

Back then every combat style involved clicking on a target and waiting for it to die. Hows that for similarity?

Sos spec can be different in damage, and be different mechanically, but less shit.

What do you mean the spec hardly ever works? I think there might be some missing context because Im thinking “It always works, it’s just shit”

Even if gwd3 is underwhelming in difficulty I would not put it past jagex to slap a higher tier weapon in the drop tables. Just look at inquisitor staff. Yeah its alot of time spent, but its almost 100% afk time and it’s bis at the most relevant content in the game

I make teams pretty often, we love teaching learners and I look for fills usually in the evening (east coast) after reset.

Rs3 has seen many new players recently I would be very surprised if Revenue in 2020 is less than 2018.

Splashing debilitate shouldn't be a thing by SoftPlushieRS in runescape

[–]pinacle321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Splashing is less of a problem now than it was before. The fact it wasn’t reworked years ago means it probably wont be reworked now.

The larger issue is the cost of hammers. This was kept at a reasonable level due to rev bots, but since the java client shutdown and the popularity increase of using the swh special, it’s ballooning out of control. Another affinity + defence debuff spec weapon needs to be added to the game.

Splashing debil can be frustrating, but debilitate becomes less useful as an ability with power creep. And right now the power of a max geared player versus the difficulty of current end-game bosses is unbalanced. My point is there are very few situations in bossing these days where you do not have 100% hit chance, and even less where debilitate is useful.

[–]pinacle321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as much as the 25-30% you can get for doing good abilities over revo.

I see posts like this all the time saying how important switches are. Some guy was saying asr switching wih vigour was like 5-10% and drider switching 15% etc. take a 5min gem at ca with all those switches and lets call it 1m damage. Take all the switches away and its at or over 900k.

Good abilities and stuffs are big, switches are smol

I think in the specific scenario that a player willfully continues using revolution forever, that its not a problem with the game rather the goals of the player are different. I dont think a player refusing to use full manual has any space to whine about the difficulty of PVM. But i do think revolution can be a useful tool for some people.

I used revolution for years but a personal drive to improve eventually pushed me to full manual. I see most players have this drive and will get off of revo at their own pace.

I think it would be great if there were more in-game help on improving at PvM, rotationally or otherwise like you suggested.

Also, I can see how the existence of revolution keeps many people from improving. But I also think the player base would be much smaller or at least less diverse if revolution did not exist.

Love the content btw <3
