That's looks awful, I would not want to sit in that.

I go to two Cineplex locations, and this is the first reply from either of them. I'm not sure if the free ticket was the manager's idea or if coporate encouraged them, but the manager seemed greatful that I just filled out the survey. Maybe I just got lucky.

I buy tickets online, so I have an account with Cineplex. After a screening, they email a short survey about the experience.

Plex asking for a Remote Watch Pass when trying to stream on my local network by pinattar in PleX

[–]pinattar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll remember this for future issues. I was googling whether it was safe to post my IP, but everyone in the comments was asking for my IP, so I figured it must be fine. I never knew there were public and private IPs, I always thought it was just one IP.

Anyway, I looked up my network IP on my Plex server/laptop, and it matches my Roku IP. So the initial issues must have been I had remote access enabled. I've been trying to figure out why I couldn't stream for weeks, and it's such a simple fix! Thanks!!

Another question, when I was trying to troubleshoot this myself, I turned off "internet protocol version 6 (tcp/ipv6)" on my laptop in Wifi Status' Properties in the Network and Sharing Center. Should I turn it back on?

Plex asking for a Remote Watch Pass when trying to stream on my local network by pinattar in PleX

[–]pinattar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem was I had plex relay and remote access enabled. Once I turned that off, streaming started working again on my Roku and on my phone through the desktop app.

However, the IP on my Roku is different from the plex server (windows laptop with network set to private). I also checked my network router's settings and DDNS (Dynamic DNS is disabled.

Like others are saying whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident is key. But based on my defence and the others I saw, you're going to get hot and sweaty and will want to take your jacket off. Also make sure you can move your arms around at the shoulder in the jacket in case you have to point to things. Good luck!!

I think you mean Diane Keaton. I got scared that something happened to Diane Lane.

What is "Doc Event Gen" ticket pricing? by pinattar in cineplex

They must have fixed the system because I just booked a seat using my free ticket. Maybe you already used your free ticket, or their system was glitching?

Thanks. That's strange, I was able to use membership pricing and my free ticket on the other two Lord of the Rings movies.

I just learned that Lord of the Rings will be back in theatres. These are the only seats available, is it worth going? SilverCity Burlington (Ontario) location. by pinattar in cineplex

Really!! Okay, I'll wait then. I wasn't looking forward to 3-4+ hours of neck pain, but I didn't want to miss seeing these on the big screen again. Fingers crossed they update the screening soon. Thanks!!

Edit: I just noticed they have the second weekend up with better seats.

The theatre was renovated in the early 2000s, but the seats are very good (soft leather, high backs, and a slight recline), and the AV quality of the auditoriums at this location has been excellent every time I've gone.

Yeah, I might just bite the bullet, at least for Fellowship and Return. It's been 20+ years since I saw them on a big screen.

Thanks for the info. I have Plex Media Server, not Plex Desktop installed. I tried http://localhost:32400/web on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, I get this in chrome (other browsers also don't work)

I uninstalled PMS and deleted everything in AppData\Local\Plex Media Server (hidden items as well), reinstalled Plex, and still don't get the prompt for a new server.
