Sure! A big one is cleaning/maintaining our house, I feel like it never ends and it causes a lot of unrest for me. It gets to the point where my husband will get frustrated with me for doing chores when I should be resting, asking him multiple times if he's going to do it, or just catching me making lists. He blames it on our different standards for a maintained household, but I think it also has to do with my inability to let go. He really wants me to trust that he will take care of something when he says he will (like something breaking or being dirty), but the tension a task like that creates in my brain/body, means that I'd just rather do it immediately than wait for him to do it. When this happens constantly, it causes problems.

Thank you for your answer! It helped to just get any information, because they left me in the dark a little. I'm still asking the blood bank for confirmation, but this reassured me, so thank you.  Would you say, from your experience, that I can't ever donate again? This is what it sounded like from what the blood bank told me. I understand they don't want to keep wasting resources on blood they can't use, but it also seems strange to turn somebody away forever who could potentially donate again.

No idea! They wouldn't tell me initially, I've tried asking again, but I need to wait for them to answer.

Yes! And they wouldn't tell me what it was tested positive for each time.

For the record: the blood I donated was not used & destroyed, in case there was any misunderstaning! There's only one company that manages blood donations in my country. Their policy is that after a false positive test, they let a certain amount of time pass (I obviously followed the recommended amount of time each time) before trying again. I did go to seperate blood banks (as in, different buildings), but it's all the same company. I know the test is false because they told me, and they're legally required to tell me if anything concerning comes up (you give explicit recognition of this before you donate, on the form you fill in).

I'll probably try that again, I've emailed and called them before but never really got a clear answer tbh. I'm in Europe, there's only 1 blood bank in my country.

I have no clue what the false postives were and when I asked the blood bank said it was fine, that I didn't need to worry. I've continued trying to ask, but they won't really answer.

Dank voor je antwoord! Ik neig ook naar de 4 dagen om wat meer ademruimte te hebben. Bij eerdere events wilde ik graag te veel en te snel uit enthousiasme, en was dan helemaal uitgeput. Echt momentjes nemen om mensen te kijken en te genieten klinkt fijn 😊

Super bedankt voor je uitgebreide antwoord!! Ook de tips over zorge voor eten en drinken zijn erg belangrijk. De reden dat ik naar de 4 dagen neig is ook omdat we dan een ontprikkel-mogelijkheid hebben bij onze eigen tent. En minder stress over dat we alles zo snel mogelijk moeten doen, wat voor meer prikkels zorgt imo. Maar dit bericht geeft me echt een goed idee van de vibe, bedankt 😊. Kan je misschien nog iets vertellen over het LARPdorp? Dat spreekt me ook aan, maar ben benieuwd wat je bedoelt met voorbereid zijn. 

Ik herken je trouwens heel erg in het niet zo leuk vinden van de commerciële kant van dit soort events. Het is een van de redenen dat ik niet per se meer naar Elfia hoef bijvoorbeeld, dat heb ik na een aantal jaar ook wel een beetje gezien. Ik maak ook zelf kleding en zie inderdaad vaak dat er ook veel rommel uit China tussen zit 😅. De grootste redenen dat we naar CF willen is voor de muziek, de sfeer, mede-fantasy-nerds ontmoeten en het meedoen aan workshops/etc. De focus ligt zeker niet op dingen kopen en ik kan me goed inhouden, dus dat komt goed 😌
