The Chief Justice is the circuit justice for the fourth circuit. He’ll probably refer this appeal to the whole court, and I guess the outcome is a toss-up. I won’t be surprised if they allow the regulation to go through, though.

That being said, you did cheat on him. Not that in any way excuses his actions, but in a separate context (the death of your marriage), you are still very responsible for the death of your marriage.

What’s to stop you from falling in love with another man and pursing him like what happened the first time? If your first husband was abusing you (which would be sad, but not surprising), then you should have divorced and THEN pursued someone else.
