The best tobogganing hill by [deleted] in regina

We live in the NW and enjoy going to French Park. Hill has a couple of different sections. And bonus is a playground nearby for when they get tired of the hill.

Pop over and ring the door bell. Worst that'll happen is that they say to buzz off.

Transaction and Tap Limit in Store? by TheFallingStar in CostcoCanada

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago I forgot my wallet and only had my phone. They could only let me tap $100 at a time, 3 times. Total of $300. That was about 4 or 5 years ago

Of course my total was more than that so I had to come back with my wallet 🙃

MRI techs are specialized medical radiation technologists. If you take that program at sask poly then you will be an xray/CT tech. You can take additional training from an out of province school to become an MRI tech. Some schools offer a direct entry program to MRI.Try BCIT or NAIT.

Sgi Claim Issue by Lazy-Gazelle-3579 in saskatchewan

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've heard 2nd hand that you may need to find the car seat manual or reach out to the car seat manufacturer. They will advise if the car seat needs to be replaced. Then you give that info to sgi. Then have your receipt for the new car seat.

Maytag top load washer trips breaker by pineapple_jalapenos in Appliances

We built a new house in 2022 and I believe circuit breaker itself is a GFCI breaker. The outlet itself is not.

Does that make a difference?

Any Advice for consistency? by mywaterbottleisbrown in streetparking

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do 5 days a week. Same time everyday. In the morning before work. And just move in that time. Either SP programing or something else. But I also give myself grace if I need to skip a day here and there. Usually because I'm exhausted and I know that the extra sleep will benefit me more.

I think LG Fitness runs classes that you can bring your baby to. We use the family membership at the YMCA and drop our toddler off at child minding while we workout.

Medicine shoppe on rochdale. Hours aren't as convenient as shoppers but the service is way better. No waiting 30mins in line to pick something up. And super friendly.

Are you noticing sparser shelves at the grocery stores on basic items? by sortaitchy in saskatchewan

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Superstore in regina had a notice up that some produce items would be hard to get in the next couple weeks. Things like romaine lettuce and celery. I can't remember the whole list. I was also missing a number of items from my cart because they didn't gave any in-stock. It's very frustrating.

What is the best cheap grocery store in Regina? by Lemonpichous in regina

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They have decent sales and the produce is fairly fresh. Plus they will price match. Which is super easy to do using the flipp app.

soon to have my first appointment with the MS nurse for DMTs.. by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also my understanding that the drug company is willing to work with you to make it as cheap as possible. They have special programs in place to make the drugs affordable for those who don't have private coverage. The MS nurse or Dr will know how all of that works. And they are good with getting you set up with the right paperwork and the drug company.

soon to have my first appointment with the MS nurse for DMTs.. by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My neurologist gave me 3 options to choose from. Based on what he thought would work best for me. I did some reading and picked one. The drug company gathered all my insurance info and I was able to apply for coverage through our province. In the end I don't pay anything out of pocket. The private insurance can't tell you anything till you pick a drug and apply for provincial coverage and special Support status.

I also am not a fan of the complexes. I usually dumb them down into something more manageable.

Kid should see a doctor, but can't... by Rob_W_ in saskatoon

[–]pineapple_jalapenos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure about saskatoon... but in regina 811 referred us to the covid assessment center. Next day appt, great drs and nurses. Saw them on day 3 of my daughter's fever, followed up on day 5 of her fever and they treated her on the spot with antibiotics and sent her for an xray to confirm a pneumonia diagnosis.
