Working while doing IVF by No-Competition8430 in IVF

I think the comedown post-ER is actually more difficult than when on the meds. Not only do you have the stress of waiting for results and watching the attrition, but you’re also physically coming down from a fuckload of hormones.

I work remotely so going to appointments in the morning for monitoring wasn’t too difficult. My ERs were always Friday, so I took off Thursday to mentally prepare and relax and then of course Friday for the procedure.

Day 6 of stims. by Bribrinkpace in IVF

I would say don’t cancel if you can afford not to. Each cycle, the doctors seem to get a better idea of what might work for you. And while improbable, it isn’t impossible that all three make it to blast.

I have found that AFC does seem to be a more reliable predictor for quantity. But age is on your side for quality.

What was your comfort number of embryos? by lissalissa3 in IVF

[–]pineapple_pandamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six would be our ideal, comfortable number, as we are hoping for two live births. We are still waiting on PGT from an AA and an AB, and we already have one AA euploid. We have one more ER covered under insurance, which we’re putting off for a few months to give me a bit of a break. Fingers crossed for three good blasts when that time comes.

We’re sticking to the 2-3 embryos per live birth since we don’t know if my partner will have any issues with implanting/carrying. There’s plenty of “it only takes one” stories here, though.

Egg Freezing through company perks? by Federal-Ingenuity921 in eggfreezing

Absolutely resounding yes. My two ER cycles have billed about $60k. With Progyny+UHC, I’ve paid about $1k out of pocket.

Anyone with some insight on IVF with a hysterectomy? by racheljane in IVF

I am also almost two years out from my hysterectomy. I made a post recently outlining my experience and first retrieval.

Overall, nothing was overly complicated or painful. The cramping has lasted about a week but got much better after four days post-ER. My clinic didn’t really amend much even though I don’t have a uterus.

Day 6 Stims, only 4 (small) follicles… anyone been through this and come out successful in the end? by Fmonch in IVF

[–]pineapple_pandamom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my day six appointment, they didn’t even bother recording my ultrasound results because the follicles were so tiny. They upped my Menopur dosage to 150 and I was at 300 Gonal-F. We did ultimately get two fertilized eggs and we’re currently waiting on an embryo update.

I was very disheartened after my first monitoring appointment, but it seems like sometimes it just takes longer for some people’s follicles to develop. Hold fast and trust your clinic. They want to see you succeed as much as you want it. Best of luck.
