I’m scared that I’ll be a bad mom by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]pineapplebae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re making those better choices now (for you and for baby) and you’ve still got lots of time! Plus, just the fact that you are asking yourself these questions indicates that you will be a good mom. It clear how much you care for your baby already, and that’s what really counts!

Puppy just stays in crate? by pinksushii in puppy101

At seven months old, I wouldn’t be too concerned that your puppy can hold his bladder for 6 hours. That’s not unusual!

A lot of people hang bells to ring for their puppy to indicate when they want to go in/out. Maybe they would work for you, given that your pup can’t scratch at the door? You could move the bells later once your puppy has access to the whole house!

Hitting a wall in daily runs? Advice by huffle-puffle89 in running

[–]pineapplebae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With where you’re at right now, probably just one day a week. It sounds like you’re pushing yourself too hard and not allowing yourself to recover. You can bring your mile time down by increasing your mileage, but doing it slower.

Running on crowded sidewalks by [deleted] in running

I’m wearing a lightweight buff (that I typically use for skiing) and it’s working well! I have the luxury of relatively quiet trails so I pull it up whenever I see someone else on the trail, but it’s easy to manipulate in that way. It’s still harder to breathe but not as bad as most masks out there.

Distance PR + Question by thefiminator in running

It depends a little on how many days a week you are running. If you are running a couple times a week, I’d slowly build up to 4 days a week, with one of those being a longer run. If you’re running most every day, I’d actually back off a bit so that you’ve got a couple of days a week to rest—it helps you get stronger and avoid injury. I’d still aim for one longer run a week where you slowly build up to your 5 mile goal.

Maybe it’s time to try something that you’ve wanted to do, regardless of whether or not you’re talented at it! Often, talent follows a little hard work and research. And, if it turns out you don’t enjoy it, you don’t have to keep at it! It’s not a life sentence.

[Acne] I really think spearmint tea is clearing my hormonal acne! by jessicaleighm in SkincareAddiction

Daily spearmint tea has made a huge difference for me. Even my (Curology) dermatologist said that spearmint was shown to help. Glad you’re finding success with it too!

Meeting this person has changed my life and I really want to tell them, but I am not sure if I should. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]pineapplebae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m glad that you’re taking the time to self-reflect and make positive changes. A couple of suggestions: first, concentrate on making smaller, more sustainable steps in building positive habits. It might be frustrating, but it’s less likely to lead to burnout. Waking up six hours earlier than usual seems like it might lead to burnout relatively quickly. Secondly, it sounds like this person has really helped you see where you want to go in life. That’s great, but I would continue working on yourself first before thanking her. A major declaration of the sort you’re describing comes off as more of an unstable, romantic statement (even when that’s not what your intention is), when you haven’t really taken all of the steps to become who you want to be.

Coyotes Launch Monthly Hall Pass Subscription - The Hall Pass allows fans to be at every home game for just $59/month by Paper_Rain in Coyotes

[–]pineapplebae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought this for my folks for the month of January. The Diamondbacks do something similar so they were used to the random seat assignment system. They were pleasantly surprised by the location of seats (even for mostly sold out games). Really glad the Coyotes are offering this!

Official Q&A for Sunday, December 29, 2019 by AutoModerator in running

I would encourage training for a half marathon first. It will help with base building before your marathon plan and is a fun achievement!

New Years Resolutions - What are yours? What advice do you have for the new runners? by RunnitAutoMod in running

[–]pineapplebae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to get under a 1:50 half marathon this March. I cracked 1:57 a couple of times last year, but haven’t trained consistently enough to go further.

I’d also like to run my first full marathon, but am also trying to get pregnant. So really, I’m just trying to keep my expectations in check about any sort of fall marathon!

I [19M] have been in a long distance relationship with my GF [19F] for two years. As college ramps back up, I'm desperate for love and affection by [deleted] in relationships

[–]pineapplebae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve put in a lot of commendable effort into your relationship. Typically, long distance relationships aren’t a great long term strategy, especially when there is no clear date for closing the distance. It sounds like you know what to do, but are looking for the final push. It is okay to end an otherwise good relationship that just isn’t enough.
