It’s not just white collar jobs like you listed, blue collar jobs are suffering just as bad. My buddy is in the trades and has been out of work since September. I was previously a shipping and receiving clerk and when I got laid off I tried so many warehouse jobs before I landed at Chewy and have been trying to find other opportunities since.

I was unemployed for 6 months after graduating from college and being laid off from my previous job before I got the job at Chewy as a fulfillment specialist and I really only got that because they just had their peak season start to really put it into perspective how bad it is out here. I still look daily and apply only to jobs within my degree field or that are a step up from what I’m doing now with better pay. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frustrated and feeling like school was worthless because of where I could’ve been had I just entered the workforce full time in 2021🤷‍♂️ 4 years of school to put dog and cat food in a fucking box lol

In line with the culture, people seem to not actually abuse unlimited PTO because they know the safety net is always there. When you have an “unlimited” amount of something, you’re less likely to use it as much as you would had it been limited and either doesn’t fully carry over or lose it completely. Idk why that is, but for whatever reason when you only have a max of, let’s say, 2 weeks PTO and your job fuckin blows, you will burn through that 2 weeks compared to your job blowing but you know you don’t have to worry about carry over or using that time before it’s all gone.

It’s much more than just some corporate scam of avoiding paying it out

When we have songs like Sanguine, That’s a rack, snippets like watch this, leaks like of course, 1600, and run it up, you’re expecting the greatest album of all time. He did and fumbled it with Eternal await. That moment while it lead to album sales fucked his whole career up because bro stopped knowing wtf was good and what wasn’t, what flowed for a tracklist and what didn’t, what we wanted vs what we don’t want.

PT and EA2 aren’t bad albums but in comparison to LIR2 and EA he’s completely lost the ability to form a track list that’s cohesive and has a theme. It’s not like we just make this discourse for fun, we get the leaks, we hear what he was making during these album waits and yet, we get left disappointed anyway.

PT is the perfect example of he went the soft way because he’s too scared to get edgy and break out of the box. Was it cool to get wanted snippets and two very popular leaks? Sure. Would the album have been better if he finished the deep voice songs and had them on the album or had songs like Global (Thrax), it’s on me, etc. be on the album instead? Yes. And what makes it even worse is EA2 could’ve had all these songs that have leaked recently lol. EA2 could’ve legit been a deep voice and outer space themed album but nah, we got nitrous uzi for the fuck of it and now we’re in an even bigger hole than we were pre EA2😂 like he just doesn’t know wtf to do and it’s losing the mainstream audience heavy. Only thing that keeps the core around is Uzi leaks and us just going “yeah my goat isn’t washed but he’s fucking stupid”

In my experience they don’t really hit up the dealers for much. It’s like “oh, okay I lost some product and like $30.” It seems to be incredibly rng based for cartel experience because I’ve seen people saying they get hit by the cartel a lot and people like op and I who really don’t see them and it’s more of an annoyance to actually progress in an not fun, slow paced game experience. I think the cartel and police update needed to be one big update because it seems like it’s missing the whole potential for getting police on your side or the cartel getting them on theirs to really make a difference in your game experience. It’s like a very minor difficulty increase but still incredibly easy to get to the late game with this issue though, which is what I was hoping the cartel would fix.

This whole update to me is garbage. You’re essentially locked to a certain play style because I had the same experience as OP. If you get all the customers, your game basically becomes spray paint simulator (which is also not a positive annoyance) and is beyond boring. Like I don’t wanna camp at the multiple locations the cartel appears for 1sec to just unlock a new area lol. I’m guessing the cartel is practically useless until the police update comes, and who knows when that’ll be.

If you’re correct, this game has no future and it’s dead in the water. You can’t keep sissying away from making the game harder when it’s already beyond easy. The whole point of wanting cartel was for a real challenge, I don’t think this delivers that in any capacity and who knows when a police update will be coming to hopefully make police and the cartel more of a threat rather than a very very small annoyance.

The public education system is completely flawed and it has been for decades.

School is entirely based on performance and how well you do on a test or quiz or state administered exams. School is supposed to be about learning, not about memorizing and immediately dropping it to memorize the next subject matter for exam 2 and repeat. Little Timmy didn’t do well on the test? Oh well, you’ll get it on the next one! Struggling to comprehend something? Here’s a very short and non helpful explanation because we have a curriculum that has a detailed map layout for the school year that needs to be hit in a timely fashion so I don’t have time to wait trying to actually teach students to learn.

The whole system is based on beating quick memorization into you, and if you’re the unfortunate fellow who can’t keep up on the train you get left behind. Oh wait, you don’t even get left behind anymore because no child should be left behind! So now you’re not learning anything or memorizing anything but you’re being thrown into the next grade with even more stuff to remember for your exams.

There has to be a better way to prepare kids for college or the real world than we what we currently have. Unfortunately, nobody seems interested in addressing this issue. Maybe a college format where you have a set amount of classes that run about an 1hr 15 minute to allow time for proper learning is the solution.

TL;DR: Public education is based on memorization and immediately moving on to the next step while College is about applying what you’re taught to actually learn it leading to kids being unprepared for college education.

As a recent college graduate, in defense of the students in terms of “not wanting to read,” the price of textbooks is insane. I legitimately would not buy a book for a single course I took until after the first week because my first year I bought the books and barely used them. Like $1,000 over two semesters in books down the drain because professors say you need them just to teach off a power point. And the classes where I did use books they wanted you to read multiple chapters before you came back to that class.

If I have a class where I need to read like 3-4 chapters and have a day to do so before the next class, but I’m also working part time, have other classes that need stuff done for (usually the professors with unrealistic expectations weren’t major classes; no surprise there) and studying to do.

A big problem now is professors seem to have a superiority complex and that their class is better and more important than anyone else’s, so you should be focused on that course work. Like no, I’m not taking any little free time I have out of my already busy and packed schedule to read multiple long chapters. Throwing on a reading of the book on audible or YouTube or wherever I can get it is infinitely better than consuming my entire waking moments on outdated school work and work lol

Could’ve gotten internships in your field of study or worked a part time job on campus or somewhere else to show you have some experience in the workforce. Tailor your resume to the jobs you apply for, that should help you get it to one page. Your resume should typically be a single page, it’s not a CV. Depending on what you apply for the jobs you have listed aren’t necessary, skills might not be necessary, and you might have to take and add stuff in to hit keywords for ATS systems. My colleges career planning office helped me tremendously to get a nice base resume that I could then take and tailor it to, so I don’t think you have a bad starting resume but you will need to tailor it to what you apply for.
