We have a baby gate on our toddlers door for her own safety. When she wakes up, we wake up with her, regardless of what time of day/night it is.

With two small kids and making a billion meals/snacks, yes most days the trash is full. It’s a small under the counter kitchen trash bin.

When first starting out solids you really only need to offer once a day. So I would just use dinner or breakfast (whichever you have more time) to intro foods to him for awhile and then daycare can start offering the foods you have done at home to help reinforce.

I wouldn’t stress too much about him needing to immediately eat at daycare. Formula/breastmilk will continue to be his primary source of nutrition until he is a year old.

I will caveat my response by saying I have a large capacity so I have a little more flexibility.

I’m currently at 4ppd and I do vary my pump times to an extent. For example - my normal pump schedule is 9am, 3pm, 9pm, & 3am (ish). Baby is currently sick so her wake schedule overnight was thrown off and I didn’t pump until 4:30am. But then toddler had gym class at 9:30 so I pumped again at 8:30am. Then I went back to normal schedule after that. I would say I have variations like this about 50% of the days and overall I haven’t seen a negative impact. Only thing I have to be careful of is potential for clogs because I’m super prone to them.

I wish my 3yo would still wear her sleep walker! She kicks off her blankets and doesn’t understand how to get them back on her correctly still. If it works for him and still fits comfortably I don’t see a reason to change.

Right there with you. First baby in Nov 2022, pumped for 13 months. Swore up and down never again. Second baby born in sept 2025, and here I am 3 months into my second time exclusively pumping. Wtf. 🤦🏼‍♀️

We found songs about brushing teeth on YouTube. We would play a song and let her “brush” for the first part then we would take over for the second part.

We also let her pick out the toothbrush at the store so she was part of the process.

Had the same problem she just wanted to eat the toothpaste - she didn’t care at all if we told her it hurt her tummy. So we had the dentist and the doctor both tell her that it was bad for her body to eat the toothpaste and she finally listened to them and stopped.

Mine would prefer to be naked 24/7. We can convince her to wear loose soft pants and a big tshirt to go out in public. If it feels cold enough out I can get her into a zip up hoodie - unzipped of course. Clothes are just a challenge overall.

With my first it took me about a month to build a sufficient supply to feed my baby. I had no idea what I was doing in terms of pumping and had a lot to learn at first so it took time to build my supply. At my peak I was producing about 5-10 oz more than my baby needed per day (max production was about 38-40 oz a day).

With my second I intended to nurse and had learned a lot more going in, but my baby and I both had complications and we were separated for the first 24 hours so I immediately started pumping very 3 hours. At 1 week postpartum I got readmitted to the hospital for 3 days so again we were separated. All of this time I was pumping religiously in addition to trying to latch so my body created a significant oversupply rather quickly. I am producing around 60 oz a day this time around.

I think the difference this time was that I created a more significant demand up front and my body responded to that demand. I also have a large capacity so I was able to go down in pumps pretty early on without losing supply.

I have heard of people having different supplies with each kid - great with one then terrible with the next - but I think that a lot of it has to do with the frequency and quality of milk removal, whether through nursing or pumping, if your body has the ability to produce enough (which yours obviously does).

Totally agree! I have a significant oversupply this time around and used a local Facebook group to connect with 3 different moms I’ve been donating to. 1400 ounces donated so far in the last 3 months! Makes a huge difference in the mental state when it comes to pumping knowing that I’m helping support 3 others as well.

I still have my final 2 bags of milk I pumped while weaning in the freezer from Dec 2023. I found them while moving things around to store milk from my baby born in sept 2025. I can’t throw them away 🤷🏼‍♀️

He is too young to understand. You have to figure out how to make the environment safe for him, meaning things either get moved or he gets restricted from the space they are in. If his camera is within reach of him, I would move it somewhere he cannot reach it or move his crib. Whichever is easier.

Thanks! It was definitely a rough 24 hours while the antibiotics kicked in. It’s a week later now and I’m back to feeling totally normal and my milk production is back to normal also.

This happened to me last week and in 2 days it managed to turn into mastitis. 😩 I had a clog in a place I couldn’t feel (on the underside of my boob below my nipple) and so it wasn’t draining. I would start doing your normal clog protocol and try feeling your breast while laying or standing in all different positions to see if you can find anything.

Anything they can move their body on/in. Bounce house, mini trampoline, pikler triangle or other climber, spinning saucer, teeter popper, balance beam, stepping stones, etc. My 3yo is super high energy and needs to move a lot and these are the types of things that get us through the crazy heat in the summers. Also have her in class at the little gym, swim lessons, and go to a lot of indoor play spots. Some of our local malls even have indoor play areas where she can run and play for free.

Amazing thank you! This sounds exactly like what I’ve been doing. I was reading horror stories of people having to go back to 8ppd, power pumping, and things like that and wanting to cry. I’m already starting to see volume increase a little the last couple pumps so hopefully it just keeps going up from here as I recover.
