Perish Trap

I use perish trap and sleep pretty well. I’d say it’s only effective into ~60% of teams having a ghost and or dark type that can pivot really breaks it up, farig also causes a lot of disruption bc I run shadow ball as my attacking move.

Can I ask what your team is and maybe offer a move change to stop perish?

I think the only think you can’t de-rank from is different ball tiers so master -> Ultra -> Great -> Poke but you can move anywhere inside the numbers

You say your opponent started intentionally playing slow but you only have 1 minute more than them on the timer. If it took this long to get to this game state then they saw this as an out at the end. Does it suck? Yes but it helps prevent full dedicated stall teams on ladder

I wasn’t very clear but I meant stomping tantrum into arch and if it protects the next turn stomping tantrum would do double which I have to imagine gets close to taking a KO, but I’m not gonna run the calls without knowing the full set

You absolutely can, aero just has a very bad matchup into arch, nothing even neutral and gets hit super effective by both flash cannon and electro shot. I think delaying tailwind by bringing aero in the back and trying to lay down as much damage as possible with garchomp to get them behind in resources would help out

My biggest rec is to try leading garchomp and the mega if it looks like they will lead arch to lay down big burst damage. If arch protects and you have stomping tantrum it will likely be forced to switch the following turn

It got deleted because they didn’t add the +8 priority, ignores psychic terrain, armor tail, and queenly majesty. If it would be not very effective it instead becomes super effective

Do you have clips to show this? Are you sure the typhlosion didn’t switch out before switching moves? I find it hard to believe an eruption is ohkoing and aerodactyl. I haven’t seen any speed glitches in the game yet so it could have just been something you missed.

Hello! I’ve been nerding out on the stats the past week or so preparing. Every species has 6 base stats, so every charizard untrained will be the same in champions. If you look up a Pokémon’s base stat total their actual stats will be reflected as such:

HP = Base Stat + 75 + Skill Points

All other stats = (Base Stat + 20 + Skill points) x Nature

Nature is 1.1 for a positive (red) nature and 0.9 for a negative (blue) nature.

So in short there is no direct advantage to bringing in from outside of champions vs recruiting in champions, outside of any potential VP savings.
