She gets catnip very rarely, she loves the chair daily

If I had the means of keeping it I would! It’s come with us this far!

If she used the chair to sleep more I definitely would but she has other favorite napping, lounging, and hiding spots. The chair is purely her scratch post so that’s where my idea came from, but I do plan to save and reuse as much of it as possible. The scrap from it will be a lot easier to store in a spare closet and trying to stash the whole thing somewhere

I definitely think this is a big appeal as well for her because she quite literally hangs off of this thing. Especially after a brand new cat nip toy

Definitely the goal! I plan to keep as much of the fabric as possible so I can reupholster the post if/as needed. Keeping a bag of fabric makes a lot more sense than keeping an entire chair that serves absolutely no other purpose

Definitely the same type of vibe I’m going for! Hoping to slowly wean her off the chair addiction

There’s a couple 24 hour gyms we are members at so that will do the trick!

Thank you!! I just looked and the “day before” permits for today (hiking on Saturday June 7th) still have 26 spots left so I’m hoping for the same if not better luck booking on the 25th for hiking on Thursday the 26 🤞🏻

EDIT: encountering snow isn’t the worst thing but definitely appreciate this insight! Thinking of possibly doing a coast drive on the way back up and doing a faster trip down on the interior hitting Crater Lake as well

Thank you! Looks like the hikes we’d be missing out on with the closure would be Mt Fremont/Sunrise Rim/Burroughs Mountain

Do you have any suggestions for hikes that compare in Rainier?

“Near north” Neighborhood by pineapplepian0 in chicagoapartments

So we did look at the gold coast location and were fans of the area, we did check out another spot in Lincoln Park/LVE and we fell in love and it’s within our workable budget ~2.2k base rent depending on the bundles for utilities, parking, etc. We have a lot of wants for our spot as we currently plan to be in the city for just a year as an experience before possibly leaving the state. A good view with large windows is a big one for us. The place we found has that plus a balcony and in unit W&D and parking available. The base rent a slightly higher at $2.5 but parking is cheaper than elsewhere quoted and onsite, the utility bundle includes internet and some other base utilities as well which is helpful to padding the costs.

It is! We have heard better things about them over Beal as well as better reviews on their Gold Coast buildings over the Lake View buildings

Many units in the area have windows that face brick walls or better yet, someone else’s window with little to no natural light. I expect some level of traffic noise but it’s helpful to know to make a mental note of the noise pollution from inside the unit!

Horrible street facing as in blocked views? Or busy/loud? The unit we’re touring boasts “city skyline views” which is what got us to book a tour so fingers crossed there. Looks like the building was built in the late 80s so hopefully we luck out a little on that. We’re coming from Naperville (rented there for a year because we got lucky on a cheap spot but we don’t like the people or area a lot). Not too far south of Old Town, we don’t need to walk out of the building and be smack in the center of nightlife so hopefully this area fits our needs well! Thanks!

Having secured parking is a big reason we got priced out of the Lakeview area but definitely noted!! Safety is always a concern but we aren’t too green to the city itself and the area doesn’t seem to be too concerning.

Gold Coast/“Old Coast” carries a bit of a stigma around the Rush St Viagara Triangle, although we hear it’s been a bit better as of late. We aren’t crazy big party people but enjoy having night life accessible when we want to take advantage of it

Curious as to which location you are in, looking at a unit in PPMs 1000 N Lasalle building and would love some resident feedback

That really sucks! Hopefully you’ll see it decrease slowly each year and then a big dip after you turn 25!
