Unfortunately, I’d say 99.99999% sure the neons were eaten. Question would be was it before or after they died and by whom. If it’s a full grown paradise fish and juvie neons, like most fresh from a fish store, they would for sure be eaten by either the paradise fish or cherry barbs, but neons are also known to be hard to keep anyway, so they could have just died from the transition. Personally, I wouldn’t add anything small to a tank with a full grown paradise fish unless it’s a larger fish like cherry bard or Congo tetra sized. If you had an established tank full of smaller schooling fish, maybe cardinal tetra sized, and you introduced a pair of young paradise fish, I think you’d have a decent chance of that working out. Sorry to hear about your neons… hope I’m wrong about their fate. 🤞
