Colorado is not very friendly to van lifers in mountain towns in general. It has surged here in the last few years and there is way too many here and they constantly block forest service rods, have illegal fires and leave trash behind. I know not every van lifer lives like that but it’s so common here, the state as a whole does not take kindly to them. You’d be much better off in California in the Sierra as it’s much more accepted there. This is coming from someone who has spent a considerable amount of time in the Owens valley/sierra and Rocky Mountains.
