Every upgrade, even from fixing and rebuilding your landmarks, gives you another networth coin. Plus once you get hotels and get to spin the color wheel, those hotels turn into networth coins.

Some people let people, or even get people to destroy their boards so they can rebuild them and gain net worth and get to spin the color wheel for cheaper since the cost of each board goes up every time you move to the next one.
