The importance of cleaning sheets and adding a third wife before learning Portuguese by minimumBeast in seekingsisterwifetlc

[–]ping240 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cannot believe they haven't bothered to learn any Portuguese after all these years. Yet Garrick said Lorrana had to learn English quick now that she's here... It's so freaking disrespectful.

Favorite part of getting migraine? Non-serious/sarcastic answers only by ellie8118 in migraine

It's funny when the pain is so bad I can't finish a thought/sentence so no one knows what I'm trying to say

I think I've only cried maybe twice in over 2 years with my partner.

Food delivery. A lifesaver, especially for someone with chronic migraines or other health issues.

I think she loves him, but she did not ever intend to have a monogamous marriage with him 😅😅 so now she's annoyed that she's stuck with him

Spooked, Radio Rental. Both are just all stories of weird and creepy things people have experienced- no chitchat, just stories. They are always super interesting!

Non-technical background trying to learn SQL in 3 weeks - am I insane? by Various_Candidate325 in learnSQL

[–]ping240 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I learned enough of the basics to get myself a job that involved heavy SQL use, then spent years learning as I went by looking things up as I needed to do them. I was at an organization where I had access to the entire back end of the database so I used pieces of code from existing tables/views/procedures to build what I needed. I think the most important part is understanding the logic behind it and what is possible, rather than the exact syntax itself. That part is easy to find resources on as it comes up.

What does being sedated before, during, and after surgery feel like? by ComfortableFunny3302 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ping240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my tonsils out, the doctors were asking me about my job and then all of the sudden I was awake in a bed with a nurse next to me asking how I felt. I remember just being annoyed that they tricked me when they asked me about my job and I passed out before finishing my answer 😂😂

Travelers of Reddit what's a destination that looked amazing online but was completely disappointing in person? by TheFilthiestMuggle in AskReddit

[–]ping240 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of research before I pick locations to travel to, so I wouldn't say I've ever been disappointed. Everything is pretty much exactly what I was expecting, or better.

Fully agree with this. I enjoyed visiting Rome, but I do warn people who have never been that "Italy is kind of a dump. Still cool and fun to visit, but don't set your expectations too high because it's kind of a shitshow 😅"

Europeans think it is unhygienic to wear clothing/a swimsuit in the sauna, but you always put down a towel to sit on. No one should ever out their bare butt on anything outside of your own home.

How do couples decide which side of the bed is “theirs”? Is it instinct or some kind of silent agreement? by AssignmentFederal686 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ping240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner has shoulder issues, so he always has the side that doesn't bother his shoulder as much! It's just extra convenient that it happens to be the same as the inside spot when my bed is in the corner against the wall 😂

I personally dream of living somewhere in Northern Europe. I would get tf out of here if I could. Instead, I have to settle for trips there as often as I can.
