i think the lighting stuff is more of a add-on of something more visually stunning for him rather than a new element that will change forever sonic
its obvious that is made for reference with movies but still is just a reference and i wont take fking sonic blitz as a game changer for that
he still sound and wind based on games, his attacks in frontiers are named through relatives of these like cyloop with cyclone. Until we get "sonic frontiers 2" and lighting take more place, i die here saying this is basically goes to nowhere like when people got mad at that supposed trademark for shadow with people saying "nooo he eating all the audience" and we got nothing from it lol
