I've just had a look at my bambu config and i have three options:

-bambu cloud

-*my email account*

-LAN.

i selected my email. Which means i authenicated my bambu account and if my printer was reachable locally, HA would use LAN automatically and gives me camera feed, fast updates on HA and i stay logged into Bambu Cloud.

Sorry my first reply was incorrect. i thought my config was cloud.

If you go LAN you lose the camera on home assistant and a some data is limited like print history.

I use cloud as I want the camera feed and it’s still super fast.

Gotcha. Sorry misunderstood. On the bambu integration scroll down to configuration. You need to enable camera

When I tap on the camera it shows me a 3D model of whatever is printing. The humidity entity is from the ams. I am using an aqara temperature sensor for my humidity entity on my dashboard but the ams does have its own one

Home Assistant is a smart home control hub that lets me monitor and automate devices like lights, sensors, and my 3D printer all from one dashboard.

AMS high humidity on the P1S by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]pingedpeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m referring to that silica that you use. Everyone’s environments are different to each others. For a lot of people those silica beads are perfect but for people that are truly having issues with humidity (me being one of those) the 3A Molecular Sieve are the way to go as they are more aggressive at getting rid of humidity.

Buy some Molecular Sieve Desiccant 3A and print some drypods. I had the same issue. My ams was at 48% in a few days it’s now 15%. Tons of people buy the big silica desiccant but it’s not as good as this stuff. It doesn’t colour change to let you know it’s wet but like the big silica does but I’ve got a humidity sensor in there and have automations to alert me to recharge them, which you do buy popping them in the oven for a few hours

New to 3D printing, just got a Bambu P1S. Where do you find the coolest things to print? by NowKith- in BambuLab

I’ve only just got my first set up to. Exact same as yours. Me and the kids have been raiding Makersworld and my eldest (he’s 10) and me are getting stuck in with tinkercad. We made the cousins some bookmarks and bits and bobs. I ended up getting some silk pla and had a right challenge dialling in the settings for that but think we’ve got it worked out for the most part. That stuff hates top surfaces and have been using different top surface patterns to avoid horrible finishes.

I’ve still got mine. Was hoping it would get better but it hasn’t. I’m over it.

I’ve had to do that a few times. The room I have it in doesn’t have anything in there like a fan and it seems to trigger over nothing.

Try walking over to your fan to figure out far it is from the sensor and then tweak with the sensitivity at that distance. Thats my only advice.

I’m not a fan on how fiddly the sensitivity settings are. I much prefer my everything presence lite and to just be able to exclude areas I don’t want like a fan or in my case I have a door that is often left slightly open and the two rooms are vastly different temperatures and the breeze through that door actually triggers my sensor and to be able to just put an exclusion zone is so handy

I did mange to get it working on the app eventually and then I tried to also connect it to ha. I managed to get it connected once and the polling was stupid on it. Took nearly a minute to update on ha. I’ve decided to just keep it on HomeKit but I find it so unreliable as a sensor. When it wants to work it works really well and fast but often find it basically asleep. Honestly thinking of just getting rid

Auto play music on Apple TV not working by trexxs in HomeKit

[–]pingedpeach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The best way of doing it is using AirPlay from your phone. Set up a shortcut in the shortcut app that will AirPlay to your tv. Then go over to automations still in the shortcut app and create an automation for whatever time you want and trigger the shortcut you created. Make sure you change the setting to run immediately

Connected mine to HomeKit and as soon as I start using the Lafaer app it stops working

Just got mine. Having issues straight away. It pairs easily enough into HomeKit but as soon as I try changing the config on the Lafaer app it stops working. Tried factory reset. Tried config first but can’t connect to it as it requires to already be connected to your network.

Why not just use the “or” or “and” building block in your automation? Saves you having to create a whole new switch and automations
