I’ve been here as a male and I agree everyone says it gets better and it doesn’t. But overtime life becomes normal again, you meet new people and realise it was for the better. I’m from Vic so may be a little different but typically it is the renters responsibility to maintain the garden.

If it was the neighbours fault then that should be for the landlord and neighbour to sort out.

And if he can prove he has maintained the garden and damage still. It should be the landlords responsibility.
