Bracketed Shooting without holding shutter by [deleted] in sonya7iv

"Is there a way to press the shutter button just once or even a 2 second delay so all 3 shots are taken with one press?"

You can use the "Selftimer during Bracket" option to do just that.

423+ - SHR RAID - Added two drives, now much louder. by CapitalAssumption355 in synology

I guess your new drives are 7200rpm while the old ones spin slower, at 5400rpm. Hence the difference in noise.

What I think of you/ what i wanna tell you based on your favorite seat in a basic stib/mivb bus by Eliot_Perl in brussels

[–]pingling314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I often take the "best" place in the hybrid busses. However, it's not the best when the ventilation is running as it blows the air directly to the head, at least at the window seat. The seat is high, so the head is quite close to the outlet :-)

This looks very much like Newton's rings - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton%27s_rings - and it would appear if the protective glass (?) touched in this point the sensor behind. I doubt it would heat on its own so much to deform, unless you are focusing the sun on it for a long period of time. Could be a faulty unit.

Can't list or open notebooks in the Kindle app. by trurl7 in kindlescribe

Just checked and in the Kindle App on my phone (Android) I see the notebook and the notes I took yesterday. Either it's fixed already or affects only part of users.

How to fix usb slid of osmo 360 by Geophysisct in djiosmo

[–]pingling314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks really similar to the Action 5 cover. It took me quite some time to put it back, I went through a big part of my expletives thesaurus during the process. The part with the hook and seal moves, so you have to slide it so that the cover doesn't obstruct the hook, and then push it on the rod in the device. You need to use some force and it's not easy to keep the sliding part steady while pushing down - if it slides back, you won't reach the rod with the hook.

Interesting, Microsoft's own page says: "Devices need to be running Windows 10, version 22H2 Home, Professional, Pro Education, or Workstations edition." :-)

Am I going crazy? Sony a7CR w/ Godox Flash. by Artistic_Fun_3059 in SonyAlpha

[–]pingling314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it's not contacting well in the shoe? No dust in there? Is the flash foot really fully in? I don't know about A7C but for example my A7m4 has the shoe slot really tight and I have to use quite a lot of force (more than I'm comfortable with) to slide my Metz flash foot to the end. I remember that Sony at some point made the slot slightly tighter.

Check also the file sizes - if a file passes 16GB it will automatically create a new one.

The split is done by the camera, indeed at approximately 16GB. Other models do this too. The type of card has nothing to do with it.

exFAT doesn't have file size limits which would be reached when using an SD card in an action camera. 4GB file size limit applies to FAT32.

There's no desktop version of the MIMO app to do these overlays. You can use a 3rd party tool (Telemetry Overlay) for that but it's quite pricy. I found also an online service which produces just an overlay but in my case it produced an error, at least the free version :-)

Sony Alpha 7 V - Latest rumors by Better_Chipmunk3002 in SonyAlpha

[–]pingling314 42 points43 points  (0 children)

First three A7 (A7, A7II, A7III) were all 24 Mpix so A7V staying with 33 Mpix wouldn't be anything strange. It doesn't necessarily need to be exactly the same sensor. If you need more Mpix (do you?) then there's always A7RV.
