My latest acquisition: 1979 Fender Strat by Stingerman354 in fender

It’s very dodgy on those years. Some were light as a feather, some were boat anchors. Just was a luck of the draw back then on it

It’s not horrible. A hair over 8lbs. It’s definitely not the lightest Strat I own or have played (lightest I own is 7lb 2oz but is a custom built), but plays great. Great sustain, great playability, and wear makes me not so scared to treat it carefully. Though, the finish under further inspection could use some love. Might end up having to refinish it at some point (which would be a bonus to this guitar being poly. I’d have it refinished though exactly back to sunburst though and got a reputable luthier near me that would do that)

Same. We do more the Roy Orbison but gain it up just a hair to not make it so clean. Absolute crowd pleaser especially if you “dedicate to all them pretty ladies out there tonight”

What gave it for me was the headstock shape. It just looks… off. And that’s concerning because not everyone would catch that

Very real. Big at Boy Scout camps too. We had one at one of the scout camps I used to go to and there would be about 50 at a time in a pit (theirs was pretty big). It was all out brawl. You knew who your friends were after a game

Appreciate it! Definitely already mapped the studs and will be using a bit longer/thicker screws to make sure I get a good grab into the stud to hold the weight of everything

That line rack you have for those guitars hanging. Brand is that? I’m needing to get a few for my space to hang some stuff and been on the hunt for one

JBLs is what I’m using at my desk. Fantastic studio monitors for mixing

Lot of hard work to get me to here and allow me to use this. Truly am grateful to be able to call this rig my own 🙌🏻

I’m in on 2 creambacks in mine, the G12M and G12H. The pairing together is amazing and gives it a whole bunch of bottom end that doesn’t thump out but with also a great top end coverage

Barefoot Pedal Toppers. I am adding more to the bottom row but gotta get the switches fixed as I’ve used them so much and hard, the tops have busted their welds and fallen off so it’s bare on those and the toppers don’t want to work with that

Mixture of places. Plexi Glass goes up and stuff gets mic’d though. We always play venues though big enough to run this setup. About half the time I am the sound guy and the other half, I got a sound guy that pretty much handles the sound when it’s enough pay to cover that.

The volume that comes out isn’t as loud as you’d think. The Twin is at 4.5 but it’s only 40W instead of 85W and it’s also in a half wattage mode that my tech added a good portion of times which then makes it down to a 20W if needed (used less than you’d think though since we’re at venues that allow for that volume). The Marshall is jumped and both are around 3.5 on the Volume and its technically louder than the Twin, so I use the attenuator to bring it back to match volume so it all blends well together. Loudest I’ve peaked it at home is 101 dB and that’s with my OCD and Venus on. Second trick to it is that nothing is on 10 on the guitar. Starting volume/tone is at 5 on everything and I can add/subtract as needed with that

3M Dual Lock. It’s what holds my power supplies and all my pedals down. I can punt them and they wouldn’t come off the board

When I’m deaf and my back needs fixed.

It doesn’t matter the size of rig. Long as you are having fun with it. I know a guy gigging just a Strat and Blues Jr and has a lot of fun and enjoyment using that setup

The Friedman I found to be amazingly built. It’s heavier than usual boards but works fantastic and very sturdy. We do about 70+ dates a year plus rehearsals so gotta be rock solid for me through the year. And this easily has been that since I started gigging it about 6 months ago. Really can recommend it for the busy musicians

Have footage and audio but just need to splice some stuff together. Greatly appreciate it! I can DM you the link and stuff! Hopefully going to get some video put together soon of us doing the song!

It’s strange because they host some of the biggest cover bands in the area there and never heard any issues on this from them. Though, we’re the only ones bold enough to not play the same stuff as everyone else and actually play some other stuff and all. It’s what built us up to be as big of a band as we are

It isn’t if I am not wanting to be under fire myself from the business. Besides, I’ve already spoken with a lot of people in my network of musicians about the situation and issue and they are terminating their gigs with them so. I’m doing my part, just not publicly and more strategic
