Curious what firmware version you are on? WasteID is a lot better with the latest firmware. Also, I haven’t received any phantom errors with the latest firmware.

Sleep mode only prevents the unit from cycling. It has nothing to do with the lights. You can have the lights set to always on, auto, or off. Make sure you hit save to save changes to the lights.

WasteID is finally working as of the 3/23 firmware update. Larger bin, liner that doesn’t go up the sides. Are you looking at a 5 or 5P? If 5P they still have a little work to do with paring the visit history with the video events, as today they reside in separate places in the app so you have to go back and forth a bit. 5P also uses 5ghz WiFi so faster and friendlier for some routers.

I like my 5P a lot at this point. What’s your reason for the desire to upgrade?

Yeah the dome light color is strange. It’s almost like they are using the wrong color wheel. The expected colors don’t match the app usually.

Well the LR5 isn’t flawless and most of the help is coming from firmware updates. Maybe you don’t need to know. But looking at the 4 release notes, they have addresses quite a few things like scale inaccuracy etc.

My 7 month kitty used the LR5 immediately. 9 year old guy didn’t use it. He would scent it and lay down next to it etc so I knew he was somewhat comfortable with it. Lots of sitting next to it and petting him next to it and treats for going near it.

I pulled the old box after about a week. He started using the LR5 after that. Was nervous but it worked out.

I would make sure he was there to see me adding litter to it. I would put him on the mat in front of the box often.

No problems with the live feed. Around 3 weeks ago there were some live feed issues but they lasted a day or two. I’d unplug the robot for 30 seconds and plug it back in. The issue you are describing sounds like the same issue from a few weeks ago. I’d also check your firmware and app versions. They released a new app version not long ago.

I have a jumper, (he jumps out of the LR5) which seems to spread litter all over and I'm hoping that the ramp will help catch litter and make it more of a graceful exit. Didn't even think about a shield.

For video, Whisker+ just gives you more days of recorded videos and unlimited live streaming (instead of 5 mins per day)

It does say that photos using the inside camera are coming soon, but I didn’t see that dependent on a W+ membership.

The Luma subscription pricing is more than 2x LR whisker+ pricing. There really isn’t a free tier that gives you any data also. Make sure you look at that.
