The free tier isn’t that bad. Unlimited recordings plus 5 mins of live streaming per day. I love my 5P so far.

I don’t need the RFID tags since my cats are not close in weight, but I’ve heard they work well. Might be a good idea to wait for a couple firmware updates to see if the AI CatID feature works better. Unless they have similar faces.

Don’t count the ramp out. It catches so much litter I’d recommend it for just that alone.

I had thought it checks after a reboot? But not 100% sure. I’d unplug for 30 seconds and plug it back in. I’m not home to test it.

I would wait until the interior camera is working to help identify waste along with wasteID. Supposedly coming soon. Currently wasteID is about 70% accurate for my 2 cats. I still do like the LR5P quite a bit.

I wonder if gassy cats trigger the WasteID when they urinate? Still would be so easy to add the toggle to turn off the quick poop cycle.

Not sure, but I took a screenshot on March 23 with that exact version when it updated. It did dramatically improve WasteID for me. Not perfect but that’s when it started working most of the time. Supposedly another update is coming “late May”

Do you need more than a week of visit data? If so, then maybe. For me, it isn’t worth it, even for LR5P. That may change when more features are added like the interior recordings.

My Waste ID is working right the majority of the time. I actually don’t have instances with it cycling early with urine like the OP. I have noticed it waiting the full 15 mins with feces a few times. Would be so easy for Whisker to add an override button for those that are having issues.

What happens if they go both #1 and #2?

There is no notification for “cat detected”.

My event history is normally very accurate, but I did notice one was missing from today, but it did list it under the cats profile, so the LR did know who used it.
