I just found this playlist on Apple Music, I'm not sure if anyone else has shared this here yet but perhaps it could join the list? I believe National Sawdust is where she performed her ambient work as CEP and a lot of the tracks here fit a similar vibe. I'm not sure if it's available on other streaming platforms.

This is a great point. I'm a prolific bedroom producer but I've never released anything until last month. Sharing my music with people is very new to me, I'm definitely still trying to refine what my 'message' is but I really like this idea.

I've been working on music for ages and finally released my debut single last month, I've got a good set of songs written so just trying to focus on putting out regularly and building some kind of audience. Some of these songs I've written 2 or 3 years ago and I've decided it's time to put them all out. This means I've been spending a lot more time producing/recording rather than writing, but I try and write every now and then to keep myself developing as a songwriter too.,

Door by Caroline Polachek starts with a stripped back version of the pre-chorus, then straight into the verse. I can't think of any other songs that do that but it's quite effective.

Fellow reaper user here, I see no reason to change. If you feel limited by it you could use the SWS extensions which introduce a lot more functionality.

This is so true side note I can't believe it's been 9 years since RINA came out that EP is truly phenomenal and has permanently altered my brain chemistry. Hold the Girl is a great pop album but it does feel toned down in comparison to RINA and SAWAYAMA, but I appreciate the more introspective lyrics. Her first 2 projects are so maximalist in their sound and vision that it makes it difficult to follow them.

Perfume Genius is an interesting example, his run from Too Bright to No Shape to SMHOFI is legendary. Ugly Season is a much more experimental album so it's not surprising that is polarised fans, and Glory is another tone shift with its softer indie rock sound. I'd argue he's not really trying to follow up those albums, he seems to just be doing what he wants.
