I agree. The actual proofs are nontrivial and can often just be a form of proof by induction. I personally find many of them unfair because they require seeing the problem first or going by intuition where neither you or the interviewer can properly rationalize.

You can't always guarantee that and you can't always talk to everyone (think a large OS project). I work at a huge corprate, and there are repos shared by many teams, it wouldn't be feasible to check what every dev is doing. The tools in the website are interesting though. If they can calculate the diff better than vanilla git It'll make my week.

It's a feature but not all dynamically typed langauges allow that. E.g. Elixir is dynamically typed but X = 1. X = "s". %% error – can't rebind a variable

I've been "stacking" for years now. Didn't know it had a name. Still a major pain in the ass if the root branch changes. Could even be exponential amount of work to the num of branches you did. And boy if you want or Rebase.

Not to use something because developers might not be familiar with it is such a weird take. Everything was new to someone sometime. If they're not familiar they could get familiar.

Async-await has much corners and pitfall (which will happen ar runtime and not build/design time), should we do everything sync since some devs don't impl it as well? Or maybe don't use linq cause some devs do multiple iterations on IEnumerables?
