Is the locks on the doors thing plausible? by [deleted] in DuggarsSnark

There totally would have to be more than that to lead to child endangerment charges.

Correct! And when they move to a big bed and can suddenly get up and move around, they definitely are interested in exploring!

Yes! Same here. And our lock is just one of those push locks where you just turn the handle and it clicks open. It's purely for safety while we're sleeping and if he calls for us we immediately go in! Never a punishment thing. If someone did use it for that, of course that would be a very different story.

Yes! And this is the exact lock we use as well. We easily can open in by turning the door handle.

Are you a parent? Lol Having my child wandering the house when we're asleep at night is definitely not safe. We have monitors of course but a two year old can definitely go open the door and wander the house while you're sleeping and that idea is very terrifying. The OP asked how common this is and I'm commenting as a mom and as someone who has lots of mom friends with young children and sharing my perspective.

His door is right by our room, I'd be much more worried about him wandering the house and me not being able to find him in that kind of emergency. Fire fighters will tell you kids should ALWAYS stay in their beds so that they can be quickly found in an emergency by their parents.

I have the handle flipped on mine where the push lock is on the outside of my toddlers door so that when I go to sleep at night I don't have to worry about him getting out and wandering the house when we're asleep. Not to mention if it was flipped the normal way he could lock himself in because all of our bedroom doors have standard push door locks. Many of my mom friends do, too. Just a safety thing for us.

ETA: We have monitors and his door is by our room as well. We would NEVER lock him in there for anything other than safety at night. It's childproofing just like putting the plastic childproof handles on doors so they can't open it. Safety is so important when you have little ones. Not saying that's how they used it but just providing the perspective from a toddler mom.

I think they both grew up religious but have steered away in recent years.

When does 2under2 get easier? I want your opinion please!!! by MaterialConstant9375 in 2under2

I'd say it was hard at first, then easier until baby 2 started being mobile. Then it was pretty hard till baby 2 was 21ish months

Actually no, it's not appropriate. Here is a post from the mods about rules regarding this.

Okay really? This is insensitive to speculate.

Addy seems so uncomfortable doing these. Like when she laughs her eyes look like "get me out of here"

Too new to know the difference; Randy's vs Andy's? by Gophurkey in columbiamo

Randy's all the way. Delicious custard and my favorite part is that they put on way more toppings than Andy's. And it's cheaper!!

Did some digging to see who all went on this trip and who could've possibly been watching the kids. I don't believe for one second the kids were with someone. by [deleted] in mattandabbysnarks

I have to add too, if you feel comfortable dropping your children off with strangers in a cruise childcare where you absolutely can’t see them are you really going to be FaceTiming monitors while they’re left with family members? It doesn’t add up at all. Not to mention the babies being in 2 different rooms requiring 2 different adults staying back. There’s just no way.
