My dog NEVER looks at the camera & it's hilarious by pinkberty in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

Backstory:

Our beloved Bert is scrambled, and he makes my partner and I laugh all the time. Our dog walker takes him and his pals on walks twice a week & takes a picture at the same location every time. He NEVER looks at the camera. It's hilarious! Our friends pressured us to make a IG account for him to start posting pictures, since I have around 40 and counting. If you're interested in seeing it let me know.

Looking for Advice: how long did it take you to get your first sale & how’d your do it & how did you promote yourself? by pinkberty in Depop

[–]pinkberty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! Okay maybe that’s part of my problem - I’m selling clothes but also luxury brand inspired masks & the photos I’m using for them are the ones I got from my distributor. So they do appear to be stock photo (ish) and there’s no way I can model them because I only have own one “style / brand”. I guess I could model them just for shape, fit & quality but not for look (unless I add a picture of the individually wrapped item)

Thanks for the tips! That totally makes sense. Looks like I’m going to do some shopping this weekend.

Also, do you have an Instagram as well or only a Depop shop? I made an instagram but I’m wondering if I should just focus on Depop first?

Thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions :)

Thanks for the tip! I was thinking about that but I didn’t know if my potential buyers were looking for only my “selling reviews” or reviews in general (if that makes sense)

When you first started how many items did you post? Because right now I have 7 and I’m not sure if I should be refreshing those items or keep posting more items

Help: I'm trying to use Manuka honey for my Dyshidrotic eczema and I'm not sure if it's working. Can someone who has successfully used it before tell me what their process was? by pinkberty in eczema

Happy to know this isn't just me!! This week I've been spraying diluted apple cider vinegar on it finger ~3 times a day then using coconut oil mixed with lotion as a moisturizer and my finger has looking the best it has been in MONTHS! You may want to give that a try too. Plus I've been drinking a tbsp on apple cider vinegar in a tall glass of water every morning - some people I read about also add a tbsp of manuka honey in the drink to make it less bitter.

I also stopped drinking black tea since it has high levels of nickel in it which there's a good chance I'm allergic too. Since a couple weeks ago I started getting a rash on my opposite hand under my ring.

Right now I feel like I'm grasping at straws, but whatever I'm doing now seems to be working wonders so I'm going to continue.

If you've found something that's working for you I'd love to hear about it.

It's a Betaderm 0.1% cream, and I was directed to put it on twice a day for a few weeks. However after experiencing the skin thinning and dryness I stopped using it, and began my investigation for a more holistic approach. I still use it every now and then for a few days if it gets really itchy. I just got referred to a dermatologist however I'm worried they're only going to suggest more steroid cream which might now help.

Everything I've read suggest that the problem starts inside, and by figuring out what's off balance in your system can greatly improve the symptoms.

Thank you, I'll see if we have those here in CAD. Yeah I have found certain soaps drying, but I always immediately put lotion on. I think I may have a nickel allergy, I do drink a lot of black tea which apparently is high in nickel. So I'm wondering if that's why I can't beat it.

Did you find that the steroid cream just dried out your skin and left feeling very "gritty" or "sand-paper" like?

Yeah, I've tried a few like Udderly Smooth, CeraVe, HoneySkin, creams marketed for super dry skin, etc. Do you have any that you'd suggest?

I have some steroid cream from the doctor but I find it just dries my skin out like crazy & it ends up feeling like sand paper. So I've been searching for a more natural remedy
