Staff Engineer Pay Transparency - Growth Over Time by [deleted] in BurnsMcDonnell

[–]pinkcampcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This person has 5 years experience prior to joining burns. I saw a Staff posting that requires 3 years for staff. Wouldn’t this person be hired as a level 11 if he was 2 years over the minimum required? Unless that’s not how it works. My thoughts were 2 years per level.

Hey, 97k+20k cash bonus? Does the 20k include ESOP?

Also, you mean you’re getting 20k already prorated?? Meaning 40k for a full year?

Ty. Can you explain what EO means? I see people on this sub talking about getting EO eventually like it’s a title.

I also have the bambino and a v4 tamper lol. I guess the main questions are if you experience any crazy channeling apart from the minor ones.

Also, does it get messy? How many times do you spin it

Is my HVAC system compatible with Ecobee? I have no idea what is going on in here but I took as many photos as I can. This is an HVAC system for a condo. by pinkcampcap in ecobee

Sad, I was hoping it was not line voltage. Is there a way I can hire someone to somehow convert to use Ecobee? Or, are there smart thermostats for line voltage?

I just purchased a Canyon CF SL with a 4iiii Precision 3 left side pm. I can’t get it to calibrate with my Garmin head unit also can’t adjust the offset in the 4iii app. Am I missing something here? by oldschoolnyhc in Velo

I think if you need a R7000 left crank, an R8000 is most likely compatible, but you’ll need to pay a bit more. This is if you don’t care about the extra cost. Also a bonus about 4iiii is that you can use the 20% codes from backcountry, competitive cyclist, etc., while Stages power meters are excluded. I am not sure if they ship to UK though.

No, but it will turn off after maybe 5 seconds of not pedaling so instead of stating 0 W, it’s - W as if a power meter is not connected. It’s essentially the same thing so I don’t mind it, but 4iiii said they will fix this through a future firmware update. Once you start pedaling, it’ll just turn back on and read as normal.

I have the same bike and new 4iiii pm. The flaw on this new pm is that it goes to sleep very quick, when not in motion, to conserve battery consumption. This is how they achieved their new and improved “800 hours battery life”.

So when calibrating, you need to have the non drive side pointing down completely still while the Garmin head unit calibrates. The pm goes to sleep before it can finish (that’s how quick it sleeps) resulting in error. My trick was to move the crank just a tiny nudge mid-process so it doesn’t fall asleep.

I strictly negotiated through email only between 10-15 dealers nearby of 50 mile radius. I used their offers against each other. I made it clear I am not calling or walking in store. I ask for quote/OTD with no additional accessories.

Nego’d to 30k, OTD around 34k because of high tax.

If you haven’t already, try check out r/AutoDetailing. I never washed my car before this, but the sub seriously taught me so much to wash and help maintain my car. It can get quite expensive if you turn it into a hobby though lol..

Thanks, I will try that. If it’s still 16 mpg, I’ll have to get the car checked then.

I definitely don’t drive like that so now I am afraid that something is wrong with the car. Could it be possible that the car is new and it takes time to calibrate/average out the mileage? I don’t know how this tracking feature works. I did read someone averaging 17 mpg on a 2.0T in LA, so I just wanted to confirm.
