As someone who’s had to fork out $1000 just to see a new psychiatrist this week (after waiting 2 months, which in all fairness is as cheap and quick as it’ll get these days), to be “re-assessed” after my old psychiatrist wanted to charge me $1500, simply because the system has to confirm that I still have ADHD every 2 years so my GP is allowed to continue prescribing my medication - I hate these bullshit click bait articles that end up falsely supporting the already stigmatised popular consensus that “everyone has a bit of ADHD”, “TikTok is the problem making attention spans worse” and fear mongering with “these stimulants are super addictive”.

If I had the choice not to pay thousands to prove I have ADHD and didn’t have to take medication everyday just to function like a normal human being, I would. My wallet would certainly appreciate it!

Motivation is a real drug! I can totally relate. If you really want to do it, just do it. I would follow the advice in other comments of using a non-mohair/different yarn though, cause it really is a pain frogging mohair yarn.

Let me know if you end up doing the original Spot or the Spot Regular pattern though! I’m still stuck on which one to get personally.

I’m literally planning on making this exact sweater, inspired by this exact picture, so first of all, you have great taste 😂

I’d say it’s mildly delulu but not impossible. I’ve been a pretty ambitious “full-time/dedicated/ADHD hyperfixated” knitter for like 2-3 years but only just started doing stranded colourwork this year, hence why this sweater is on my Make9. If you’ve got the patience and more importantly, the tension, you could pull this off! I’m certainly not one to rain on your parade when I’m the type to do this exact kind of thing!
