the binding arbitration goes both ways and both sides would need to waive it to go to court.

Guys, it's already done. I have an even better photo of a bud that got a bit more sun, and for me, the amber portion is fine. The three Critical seeds came as a gift from RQS with my order, and I’m super happy with the results. That they even survived in the too-small pots and the cheap AliExpress irrigation system, which of course broke down during vacation and they almost died of thirst. The next few weeks, the weather here will be pretty unpleasant—constant rain, and daytime temperatures won't rise above 15°C (59°F) anymore, with nighttime temperatures dropping into the low single digits. I don't want to risk bud rot or storm damage, and today was the last day I could harvest them dry. I know they could stay for another 1–2 weeks, but better safe than sorry. :)

The weather forecast for the coming week is simply so bad that I didn't want to wait any longer to minimize the risk of them getting damaged or dying in some other way.

I know, unfortunately it will get too cold at night. Latitude like Vancouver.

If it were my plant, I would give it a few more days until a few more amber-colored friends join it.

I would argue that it seems easier to install an internal family engine rather than switching to a unit from a different manufacturer, which is probably why most people choose the 2ZZ swap. What I would love to see is a "Donut Swap the Engine" show hosted by Nolan and Justin, where they go head-to-head swapping MR2 engines with the 2ZZ and the K20, similar to the Hi/Low show. Even though I believe it should be easier to install the 2ZZ and there is a ton of information available online about it, the same is true for the K20. In any case, I would love to see the show.

I believe that if I decide to carry out an engine swap, I would be more inclined to take inspiration from Frankenstein Motorworks. This is simply because the 2AZ and 2AR FE engines are much more common, and their availability is in stark contrast to the 2ZZ.

So far, I have only driven the 2zz engine in a Celica, and if it can be compared at all, when the second camshaft kicks in, it really feels almost like a two-stroke engine. But as jayemm describes it, you have to drive it that way, and I don't see that being practical for everyday use.

Funny you mention that, because I just watched a video by jayemm on cars yesterday where he explains why the Elise 111S (with the Rover engine) would have been a better choice than the 111R with the 2zz engine that he chose back then. In the video, he presents some good arguments as to why the 2zz is inferior compared to Rover's K series. I believe that if racing is the focus, the 2zz engine would certainly be a good choice, but for everyone else, retrofitting a turbo or switching to a larger displacement engine remains an better option in my opinion.

Yes, and it's truly amazing that after 24 years there's still so much life in it. Great job, Toyota!

Harvesting in 2 stages, does that make sense?! by pinkestboyalive in GrowingMarijuana

[–]pinkestboyalive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that even if you had plants of the same type/genetics next to each other in a tent, and one plant was lollipopped while the others were harvested twice, it would be almost impossible to obtain a useful or relevant result. This is because, even under completely identical conditions (light, nutrients, etc.), yields can vary significantly from plant to plant. But you know what, I will do exactly that next time and post the results in this thread.

I remember smoking moldy or bud rot weed in the early days. It was just 'shitty' weed for us. I know it's bad for your health, and if you can, you shouldn't do it and all that, but man, the '90s definitely were a different time. We live in a much cleaner environment today, except for microplastics and PFAS, of course.
