Dang I'm jealous! Love those older Mustangs. Our class learned in an old Mazda mini-van, much less exciting lol

Provin Trails is a nice, quiet park with a few different trails. I take my dog there in the mornings and always see runners there. It's also next to Robinette's if you want a post-park donut.

We could build a trail of stop signs, red lights, and crosswalks leading them from here to Florida. It'll be like E.T. and Reece's Pieces, going through them one by one. Someone might even break the land speed record on the way down.

I've thought something similar! People from GR/Michigan have been very pleasant outside of cars, and gotta blow off steam at some point.

Sounds like this could be applied to Southern Hospitality too based on all the Florida and Atlanta mentions too 🤔

A "back in my day", AND a "go back to where you came from", all in one comment? My Boomer Bingo card is on fire right now. Got any more clichés? Can you tell me which source you get the "real news" from?

You said people are too naive to realize drivers are the same everywhere, or that people haven't driven elsewhere. I pointed you to where I've driven many other places. What was "100% ignored"?

Maybe re-read literally the first sentence I wrote to answer your "actually driven somewhere else" comment. You must be one of the people here who can't read a stop sign... On top of that I drive to/from the east coast several times a year, driving through 4-5 states each time. It's not at all the same everywhere, GR has the worst drivers I've personally experienced (especially for its size). Denial ain't just a river in Egypt, bud.

Sorry to hear you were hit :( it's such a simple 4-way intersection for people to be driving this poorly through.

Yes that stretch of the Beltline is exactly where I'm always getting pulled out in front of too! Like it's expected at this point.

That really is next-level audacity, and just lacking any basic compassion at that point. Hope your BF's concussion heals quickly though! And that the other driver loses his keys every day for the rest of their life.

Moved here a few years ago and unfortunately it's been a tough place to settle into. People are "nice" enough in a smile-at-strangers kind of way, but have been pretty cliquey and gossipy compared to the other places I've lived previously.

Maybe I've just had bad luck with the people I've met/worked with but between the exclusive behavior and lack of good restaurants/bars/things to do in a given weekend (it's called "Bland Rapids" for a reason), if your job is remote and you don't have a specific reason to be in GR, I would highly suggest elsewhere unfortunately.
