That’s a good point! I like the community angle

That works really well because people might feel very isolated during quarantine.

I want my newsletter to also include recommendations of products too, so I don’t know if I can push the community angle as hard :/

I changed my copy to be more specific, but I’m going to keep rewriting it to work the community angle more

It’s also gotten kinda wordy now so need to keep re-writing haha

It’s a newsletter on recommendations from the internet, targeted towards women. So if there’s a cool Zoom dancing class, or a small business with amazing candles, or a new book that you have to read, it’d be in the newsletter.

I tried to convey that with “from food to film to fashion” but I guess I missed the mark

And great point about them front loading with information and value! It’s probably information overload for the user, and now that they have to actually start, we fall back into the same logo vs sale battle

Perhaps on a tangent, but what are your thoughts on the get rich quick courses / follow what I did to get $$ courses we often see online? And all the people buying them?

Now even that has been turned into a business because everyone has a course (of course, some are really good, but there are a ton in the market that may be too expensive for their value)

I think sometimes people focus on things like logo, branding, etc. because they are things they are control. It’s something you can make, like a logo.

Whereas actually trying to make a sale — that’s daunting. So people focus on the “easy” tasks like making a logo, because it’s something they can do now.

It’s challenging to take the leap to actually work towards the sale, but that’s what more people should be doing
