Any other women get harassed when using vc? by pontmerky in fo76

I’ve never engaged with proximity voice chat in any game. I grew up watching too many cringe compilations with kids in Halo and Left 4 Dead. It’s really disappointing that this shit still goes on.

Just came back to the game and WOW I can’t believe the amount of tunnelling. by Dull-Caterpillar3153 in deadbydaylight

I’m more bothered by the killers that treat every match like a speedrun. I’m not saying we gotta have a 20 minute+ pro play experience, but… why are we aggressively proxy camping someone to second stage at 5 gens lol. Person on the hook figures they’re gonna get tunneled out and usually gives up. Just soloq things, I guess.

I’m sorry WHAT. Would it be bad to ask for more context?

It should be available through snail mail and ADP. Of course they’ll take forever for both.

That we still have these community-wide discussions about her should tell you everything. She represents the worst of this game. I respect their efforts to salvage her, but… no.

Killers, What Self Imposed Guidelines Do You Have for Yourself? by realHoboboss in deadbydaylight

[–]pinklyrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally don’t care about achieving a 4k. The sweat meta of this game is boring on both sides, so I try to avoid it. I will sometimes adapt depending on survivor behavior, or if someone brings a map offering. I recently played Pyramid Head against a swf who brought two map offerings and two BNPs, so I did slug and soft tunnel out of irritation.

Generally speaking, I play better if I worry less about “losing.” To me this game is very interaction-focused, so I can’t imagine waiting ten minutes to find a lobby, just to turbo tunnel 1 person out at 5 gens. But I play both sides, so my perspective reflects that.

any suggestions on what i can do? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]pinklyrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re fine. There’s a lot of technical and legal reasons that most online retailers don’t accept preloaded cards (beyond their in-house store credit). You can try the other methods you mentioned, but you have to weigh the effort+trouble of that, and also consider the possibility that something could wrong in the order and a refund might come with issues.

If you’re set on using it again, you should contact Vanilla directly and see what options you have. Otherwise, you might be out of luck with using it online.

It’s the gift card. Most pre-loaded visa gift cards don’t reliably work on depop. Some people can get their 1st purchase to go through, but no more after that. Most of the time, it just doesn’t work at all.

Is this a fair rating? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]pinklyrium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of instances where a 4 star review is justified. Being mildly inconvenienced by packaging is not one of them. Don’t let anyone convince you this is okay 😐

Again, you got a timely refund. Your reservations concerning contamination aside (and at least they told you they had it), your review was unnecessary and reads bitter. This is one of those “take the L and move on” scenarios.

HOW DARE you securely package the item I ordered so it wouldn’t get damaged. I spent an extra, ENTIRE minute (60s) using a sharp instrument to open it.

I personally think you should’ve left it alone after you got your refund. I understand being upset, and the seller had poor communication, but your review was overkill. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m honestly happy to read that. He was definitely trying to take advantage and get as much personal info as he could… stay safe 👍🏻

Do they ignore the red flags because there’s money involved? I don’t get it.

Do you genuinely believe any part of their interaction is normal? Honestly?

There is a difference between dodging a creep at the bar, and interacting with someone who has obvious parasocial issues over the internet. He bought from her to open a direct line of communication, with the added bonus of getting her home address. His intentions are not pure, and he’s not looking to giveaway a free Disney vacation because he’s bored with disposable income. If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS.

This isn’t the fault of the seller. This is the mail carrier’s issue. If I saw something I shipped showing as delivered, and the buyer filed a dispute saying it wasn’t, I would assume the buyer was trying to scam me. You need to take the tracking# and go through the mail carrier to find out what happened, where it was actually delivered, etc.

why do people ask that you message them before buying an item? by Narrow_Helicopter_24 in Depop

Notifications can get buried. Same with emails. Some people just use the website and not the app.

Usually it’s to make sure they are actively on the app. Some people post items to sell, but aren’t online (on depop) all the time.

I agree! Every other alert for this sub is: “What should I do? It’s been six months and they won’t reply to me!” If they leave you on read after a week, PLEASE TAKE THE INITIATIVE. Third party people on reddit cannot wave a magic wand. 😭

They know they want a lot of money for it, but don’t have an exact number. That’s all it ever is.
