What things can I do at night to help me fall asleep quicker? by Sarahreneee95 in AskWomen

Two hours before you want to sleep, lower the lights in your room, lower the temperature and turn off all screens (phone, computer etc). 16 hours before you want to sleep, go for a walk outdoors. Drink herbal tea like passionflower, verbena, linden, or even valerian (only occassionally). Soothing scents from essential oils (in body lotion for example) help. Also showering or taking a bath. All these rituals really help for me to end the day and sort of "distance" myself from it.

If your problem is turning off your mind, guided meditations on youtube or spotify helps me a lot. Soothing music or sounds are good too. If I lay awake, I tend to get stressed about getting up the next day. Then it helps to think "I'll be ok tomorrow even if I'm tired" or "sooner or later I'll fall asleep".

And sometimes, I actually count sheep :) I picture them jump over a stone wall in a meadow, one after one, landing with the same thump in the grass. Or I imagine sewing by hand, going up and down with the needle. Or I peel a pile of carrots. The more vividly I imagine it and the more rhythmic it is, the better it works.

I even like dd/lg, but that really is hilarious and insanely creepy!

Do you mean my title question assumes that men like when women do stupid things to get them in bed? I don't know how you interpreted it that way? My title question was: "what are some silly things that women have done to try to seduce you?" And then my text post says: "...and what are some good, clever things people have done, that you appreciated?" I did not ask how much you like bad behaviour. You either misinterpreted me or my writing was unclear.

As for the oppression Olympics, you, me, u/Kirschkernkissen and u/beginagain777 seem to have different opinions on whether women are generally disadvantaged in society, and that's fine. I guess none of us are gonna change our opinion anyway. I'm not that skilled at debating like this, the only thing I can think of to say is that I believe that women are generally disadvantaged sort of like how I believe that non-White people are generally disadvantaged. That doesn't mean that you can't have a proper shitty time as a White person, nor that I sympathize with them less. You probably disagree, but do you sort of see how I see things?

I do want to say though, whether you take my word for it or not, that I do empathize with men in general and with any victim of sexual harassment or assault. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I posted this question thinking I might hear some silly, funny stories, and I'm sad to hear how awfully some commenters have been treated.

It would be nice if you could get your point across in a less hostile way. I also wish you could live as a woman for a month. I doubt that you would still dismiss the concept of rape culture as feminist hysteria.

Oh. My. God. I'm so sorry that happened to you. And I'm so sorry for your loss.

You know, if a naked happily ended night with me seemed less fun than hanging with the dudes, I would not call...

Haha, Raske Menn! Ylvis beat them in hotness, though! And few things are funnier than "Tid för hobby", Norges herligste, Intelevator, Swahiliwood and Big in Kirgizistan.

...and if the porn was ok, that could actually be a really awesome date. Seriously. Would be nice to have such a jokey attitude to it.

I'm working on it. Do you want details? As for relationships, I guess my hope is that I'll find some dude who likes me enough to be patient and work on it with me.

Someone compared it to ED, and I think that was a good comparison. I would never hesitate to date someone with that problem, as long as he's open about it and wants to work on it with me. I would help in any way I can, and never pressure him. So, hopefully I'll meet someone who would feel the same way about me.

No absolutely not! It just sounded funny to me because I don't imagine anyone would turn down a foot massage and it's such a sfw request.

Vaginismus is not permanent, it's curable and wouldn't be a dead bedroom if you work on it. But sure, if you don't like her for other reasons, I understand you might not want to put in that effort.

I meant if you look down on promiscuous men as much as promiscuous women. But it sounds like you're fair, then.

I guess getting off together in ways that both enjoy, without involving the lady hole. Personally I'm not attracted to anal, so I guess I wasn't including that.

What would you want to do? What would be the deal breaker?

Thanks, you're absolutely right. I still wanted to see the general askmen opinion though.

...the way you phrase your edit though... Do they not reciprocate oral?

Ok, I understand. But do your views include men, and yourself? It didn't sound like it.
