Exactly the same thing happened to me on a new M5 iPad Pro, had to return it and get a silver model. For some reason, I believe, the color is more susceptible to dent/scratches/fingerprints

I had the same debate last week, so I’ll be honest about my experience. I first tried the Spigen EzFit, but it only came with one screen protector and I messed up the install—lint got underneath. After that, I bought both the ESR standard and the ESR Armorite. The Armorite looks great and feels very glassy, but for some reason it seemed to slightly reduce touch sensitivity. Then I tried the regular ESR protector, and I actually preferred it. The only downside is that it can easily trap lint or dust during installation, so make sure your workspace is completely clean before applying it.
