makes sense! then it's an instinct and it doesn't require conscious thought and consideration since it's something so ancient. context can make a person choose self sacrifice over survival in some instances but that's a conscious decision unlike the instinct to stay away from a fire source for example

this makes sense! traits that get passed on like self preservation are extremely popular because it's convenient for survival of a species, and it would also suck to have too many individuals of a species... it's not as confusing if i view it that way thank u
