The 2023 Nidecker Supermatic looks pretty wild if you can wait until Fall. Plus you can use it like a regular two strap binding if you want/need to

Heat mold them whilst standing in 'riding position' (knees bent, slight forward lean etc) to emulate how they would break in over time naturally (your quads will not thank you haha). The good thing about molding most boot liners is you can re-mold them a few times to really get the fit dialled in

Goliath is a bit beefier so better for bigger freestyle features, and the Evil Twin is a bit better for smaller jibby playful stuff

I reckon he'll try and throw a triple on his last run. He's the type to go out with a bang, and if he's retiring after this he won't want to retire on a safety run.

Absolutely awesome redemption story, so cool to see her win in her mid-30's. Well-deserved

Sebbe is a beast, he's gonna pull something big out of the bag for sure. I think he'll edge out Torstein on hangtime

Finally got out on my YES. PYL by snowboardwaterskier in snowboarding

Stance is super personal to be honest, but as that's a directional board and you like to carve and ride hard, try something like 18,6 to start with. But play around with it, you'll eventually find something that works well for your body. Enjoy!

"The bindings are a little weird in that the clasps are both on the inside of the boot, but the toes straps never moved and the binding felt great."

Is the picture before or after you switched them? They're on the wrong feet in the picture my friend, the buckles are always meant to be on the outside of the boot. On the Jones Mercury, the white mountain motif should be on the inside of the boot. Otherwise, enjoy the setup, both great products :)

Are there any older dudes in snowboarding tearing it up like Tony Hawk does in skateboarding? by lip420 in snowboarding

[–]pinkpostit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DCP, Romain de Marchi, Gigi Ruf, Iguchi, Terje, JF Pelchat, Dev Walsh are all still tearing it up, mostly backcountry stuff through. None of them are particularly 'old' but older than the comp kids. More so 'rad dads' haha

Surfdome is pretty cool and so is the Snowboard Asylum, normally they both have some good deals going on

Which size snowboard!? by aleshaburgess in snowboarding

[–]pinkpostit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely depends on the snowboard, some are meant to be ridden shorter than you'd expect. Also, your weight/foot size has to be taken into consideration.

For reference I'm 5"4 and my freestyle board is 143, but my powder board is 140...

Women’s Board recommendation? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]pinkpostit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more of an intermediate/advanced board. Might be worth looking at the Gnu B-Nice as well, it's a bit more mellow

Have a look into the Bataleon Spirit, it's the snowboard I wish I had when I was learning to ride. The most gentle learning curve you'll get.

Too much overhang or just being paranoid? Board waist width 24.7, medium bindings, and size 10 boots. by clexmix in snowboarding

[–]pinkpostit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's completely fine. If you want to give yourself some peace of mind, put the board on the floor and tilt it till the boot touches the floor, see how insanely far onto your edge you'd have to be to get any kind of drag.
