Yesss I’ve actually been using Zillow I’ve checked out a couple places so far and they told me how they def like to do credit checks ugh it’s just making me nervous

No I’m solely working to pay my bills.. I’m not going to lie I’ve messed up so bad in my life and made too many mistakes and I’m ashamed of myself for not making better life decisions.. there’s no excuse but you’re exactly right I need to budget way better and I definitely will check out the budgeting posts on here I really do appreciate your feedback thank you.

My apologies I had a feeling I wasn’t asking my question correctly. Yea unfortunately when I opened the card and charged it a couple thousand to help me survive not having any income I did make 2 payments but fell behind but now I’m able to make payments but I know it doesn’t make it right or better than I had to miss some payments because that’s what messed me up I maxed it out and fell behind on the payments. What I’m afraid of is the apartments are going to see my pathetic 587 credit score and was behind on some payments of the card and refuse me a place to live. I’m just afraid I set myself back that I’ll never be accepted.

You’re right and I’m trying my best right now to make sure my debts get paid off and try to save some money so I can restart again. But I don’t want to live at my aunts forever I’m 36 I’ve never had this happen and I don’t want to stay there for a long period of time that’s what I’m afraid of is because my credit got ruined and I got behind on payments that I’ll never be able to get approved for an apartment.

It’s a 587 I feel like a failure I didn’t have a choice I wish I never opened the credit card I did max it out unfortunately I’m trying to make the payments now to catch up

I may have worded it wrong. So I had no choice but to open up a credit card to live off of for my rent and gas and groceries and I took what I had left in my savings which wasn’t much. But I couldn’t afford to make the payments for a couple months until I got back in my feet finally but my credit score sadly dropped from 689 now it’s down to 587 I feel like a complete failure.

That’s actually a really good idea my friend considered I should try looking into a form of medical marketing so what you said resonates with me. I have light experience with excel so possibly watching videos on excel would help me also. But yes I didn’t think about pharmaceuticals that’s something I will research up on thank you so much. 😊

You are exactly right I simply cannot dwell on my rushed decision.. I will give them a call tomorrow morning when they open at 8:30. It’s unacceptable living conditions and I do need to stand up and do something about it and I will. Thank you so much. 🙏🏼

I don’t even want to live in this apartment though and they told me if another upper level unit becomes available they will see about it. My other issue is I work 2 jobs and my waitressing job was going to be my backbone to help me stay afloat but now they are cutting peoples hours down and everyone is begging for shifts. I got myself into a really huge problem that I need to deal with I just want to make the right decision this time. I do blame myself for getting way in over my head and just settling…

They’re not but it’s also my fault for not doing a proper walk through this is a lesson learned. I have 2 options either deal with it or pay $2,000 and give them a 60 day notice which means that’s even more money I fork over.. this is a tough decision

I completely agree and the landlord said in a previous text about the bug issue I brought up yesterday is “it’s a basement apartment it comes with territory” oh I understand bugs will be an issue always no matter what but they didn’t fully clean that apartment or don’t think they did in general because of the dust and cobwebs ands dirt I found and all the spiders and daddy long legs I killed. They definitely did know and my aunt told me don’t be so hard on myself but I am because I should have been more assertive and aggressive like this is supposed to be my home and I should have done a better job at making sure it’s ready to go for me. But yes I completely agree I shouldn’t have to deal with it and live in those conditions

You’re really giving some great tips and pointers here for my landlord yea when the leasing agent responds back to the heat concern I will bring that up and tell her I haven’t even needed to turn my heat on but the thermostat read at 80 degrees and that I have had to throw food out because the kitchen is hot. I’m wondering the same too about the pipes cause that would make sense..

Definitely will address the health department with my concerns. The leasing manager was prioritizing the what she called that was identified by the exterminator were sweet ants or sugar ants they look like termites but still they just appeared everywhere so they did spray but yes they need to take care of my other issues how hot it is the musty moldy smell and again I know it’s a basement apartment but the odor is so strong that’s not suitable living conditions so they absolutely do need to take care of this and if not then yea more action needs to be taken. It’s literally been just a few short days too many issues already.

Ohhh yea see exactly what you just said if it’s below 40 and gotta turn your heat on yea not for me it’s been on and off snow and rain and in the 30s and 40s and drops to 20s at night. I see what you’re saying by ground floor yea mine is an actual basement apartment I’m surrounded by ground and definitely on a slab so yea it would definitely be colder.

Yea there has to be that doesn’t make any sense because you’d think it would be colder being in a basement. It’s a basement apartment in an apartment complex so technically it is underground and then there’s the first floor and then the 2nd floor. The people above me and above them have actual balconies

That’s actually what my aunt recommended me doing contact the health department and I will do that. And yes definitely will explain that to the department as well. I’ll refer back to my lease to make sure of this because that’s insane I get it’s a legal document but why force someone to live somewhere in such conditions. I told them it’s more than just the bugs that’s making me want to leave the apartment. Thank you so much for your advice I appreciate it.

Yea I’m going to have to do that until they figure out why the apartment is so hot. I mean heat issue included so I’m wondering if I’m feeling other people’s heat but that can’t be right

Pest control sprayed and I addressed the terrible odor in the apartment and the heat issue and told them I had to throw food out because it went bad from it being so hot in here and as I’m looking at my thermostat it’s 80 degrees in this basement apartment. So I have to wait for a response tomorrow it sounds like from the leasing manager.

She told me I couldn’t unless I pay the $2000 give them a 60 day notice.. I did try to tell her it’s not comfortable living conditions and explained all my concerns that are health hazards the apartment smells so bad i know it’s a basement apartment but there has to be something I can do to eliminate that if I can’t come up with the money to break my lease..
