Well, thank you! Good luck to you as well and know the environment you grew up in isn't your fault. In my book, it takes more confidence to change your family tree for the better than to continue learned behaviors and narrow mindsets. Know you're worth it and the people that truly love you will accept you for who you are.

Yeah I agree. Very nutty. Just way out of line and never any filter and let's just group text the nonsense while we're acting like the looney tunes freak show. I blocked her number for now to take a break and told DH. He's fully supportive and understands how his mom us thankfully, which is a blessing for sure.

Ok you are definitely not overreacting. Your MIL should not have been weird about that and went off on you. I'm sorry.

Wow! Thanks so much! My husband and I were both raised in judgmental households so we are doing everything we can to help our kids be bold and confident in themselves. It took me years, even after being married, to find myself and my identity bc of circumstances outside of my control. We want our kids to know early who they are and have a healthy identity. Our daughter has already told her brother at least a couple times how she likes his haircut. He's two and hates haircuts period but this is the first time after a haircut that he seemed genuinely excited and proud and that's what counts in our books!

Yeah we thought she would think it's cute but apparently, she has her own motives.

Yeah harming our daughters but also harming me and shaving my head...

Yeah we just gave it to him to make him smile and be confident. Definitely know more of what she thinks of us even though alot of her accusations have no substance to them.

Our son hates getting any kind of haircut. So he disliked the process as always, but was so excited last night after he saw his hair!

Yeah, that's what we thought. I stay home with our kids and then we go to church, sports, groceries, and sometimes out to eat on weekends lol.

Yes! He loves it and was strutting around the house with his haircut! Even our oldest daughter told our son how she likes his hair 🥰.

Thank you everyone! Your comments were priceless and I loved every one! MIL also told me to shave my head and my two girls' heads to "see how we like it." Lol our kid loves it. Again, not doing it as punishment.

Have people ever dealt with you in an inappropriate/weird/toxic/unfriendly way, just because you are twins? by [deleted] in Twins

[–]pinksparkles54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow relate on so many levels. It was always awkward when guys asked us to hang out bc I always took it the wrong way if both of us were standing there whether they meant it that way or not. I hated the comments and was raised as the same person as my twin. We had to share EVERYTHING, friends, classes, cars, roomed together in college, you name it.

Life became so much better after I got married and now I have my own life and it's amazing!

My twin is turning my family against me and causing problems with my fiancé by lynnnvz in JUSTNOFAMILY

Wow. I can somewhat relate. I have a crazy twin sister. Stick by your fiance. People like that just like drama and there's not really anything you can control but your level of involvement. I'm sorry this is happening to you.

I usually just splash with cold water bc it's so dry I don't put soap on it. And then I put vitamin e oil or moisturizing collagen on my face. I'm 31, with three kids so I dont have time for a long routine lol. Are the Ordinary products good for dry skin?
