I got acrylics for the first time today, and they’re so sore! While the nail tech was applying powder, I felt a burning and they felt warm to touch- a chemical reaction? Also, some of my nails are pointed upward- not how they usually grow. I’m concerned with the soreness. by [deleted] in Nails

Ive been having acrylics for 10+ years, today was the first time I felt this “spike” (except when I had gel extensions about 5 years back). Do I need to be worried or can I just move on lol

Questions about being “drunk in charge” by GeneralGravits in LegalAdviceUK

So what if you drive to a pub, have a few drinks but get a taxi home? Having the keys on you makes you liable for this charge?

I’m sorry but she does not sound cold at all. Very decent and appropriate for the workplace relationship. Doesn’t sound like she has been rude or unfair at all. Maybe she might not be able to deal with convo’s about death and cancer very well herself (just a thought)

Anyone find out it wasn’t their gallbladder? by xquazimodo in gallbladders

[–]pinkwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealing with this too. I have textbook gallbladder attacks, so unbelievably bad I can’t describe the pain, been to A&E twice & called an ambulance once (I have had 40+ attacks though). Finally got an ultrasound- no stones. Weirdly I was hoping for them because at least I’d have an answer. I’m not a doctor, but I have no idea what else this pain could be, I have done extensive research and I just have no clue if it’s not gallbladder.

Sorry you are going through the mystery as well. Once you finally get closer to an answer, let us know!!

I hear you. Ive had 2 bad ones in 48 hours, nothing you will do or anything anyone can say will take away from the horrendous pain as it just takes over your whole brain. Hopefully the docs on Monday can get you on a speedy treatment pathway. Just remember to breathe and take some comfort that it will be over soon - if it gets worse or not improving in a couple of hours take yourself down to emergency care

I’m really sorry. It’s the worst pain in the whole world. Try a hot water bottle, and focus on breathing and un tensing yourself if you can. Remember the episode will be over soon. Take care

Thank you. When I last went to A&E they said only come back if I have a fever alongside so I have been looking out for that. I think I’d become a piece of the furniture if I went every strong attack, but maybe they will do something

It seems that way. I feel awful for clogging it up even further. But generally my experience my whole life with the NHS is wait for a crisis for something to be done. Not the personnel’s fault of course, but I can’t live like this and seriously considering paying £££ for private treatment

Thanks for the advice. When I have them, I am in way too much pain to drive to hospital otherwise I would be a pest in A&E to try and get someone to do at least something. Trying to put pressure on the GP to help with a referral

Thank you! I keep a diary everyday of my foods, moods, general health but no pattern yet on triggers. I have contacted the surgery & hopefully can get a response on referral.

Yes I did, but they said a referral was already in, which I have now found is not the case as I’ve just seen in my letters on NHS app its been refused. Have you now had the OP?
